Plastruct Plastic Weld - works pretty good

I went through this on my F2 (track bike) even when I brought the part number in the "dealership" tried to sell me the whole enchilada...
thank goodness my bird is still under warranty

So which is better? and why...
thinking RK 530 GXW...
-
I know this is covered somewhere, but I am lazy at best.
best price and fastest deliver on a RK 530GXW??
man I have let the bird go. need to replace all brake fluids, change the fork fluid (might send them off to RPS for valving), replace the sparks, clean the air filter, new brake pads...
and me hand is still weak, so I am SOL.

On the track, I run an Metzeler RS1 Rennsport on the front and RS2 on the back. The RS1 rear is so soft, it is only good for a day or so at the track. By going with the 2, I am giving up a little softness, thus wear, which works great with the sticky 1 up front. A number of track guys run a stickier tire up front, you just have to ride knowing the rear will slide before the front.
MaXX
exactly what I run on th F2... now I don't think I would do the same on my bird though, lots more variables on the street.

Anyone have any pics of the BB up on the front/rear racing stands?
will tomorrow...Avons came in...

...getting it back on can be tricky though.... (easier with an extra set of hands)
I found that a shovel helps speed the install... slide the shovel under the tire, and then use your foot to push the handle down... raises tire (aren't levers wonderful) and then it frees both hands to line all the goodies up... There is a company selling a third hand device, for like a hundred bucks... I'll keep using my shovel.. and spend the $$ elsewhere..

Here is a post that covers how a friend in DFW did his install kind of....

I'll have pics of my HS-1 single seat/cowl unit from Germany hopefully this weekend.
Howie
That looks like the one.... okay particulars please... got to have one...
way

nope not a corbin... so euro company (maybe britsh... of course that is a wild guess)... I have a corbin.....
-
I saw one on a Bird here in Dallas, but don't know who made... it was not a corbin, the rear section (seat cowl) was open underneath. There were no stickers and the guy that had it, was not sure where it came from. guess it was on bike when he bought it.
Had cavenerous space under cowl, and matched painted as well.
Anyone have ideas??

but I voted no way I'm cutting it. Either way the fairing is screwed, rather buy some skinz first.

Kind of concearned about the stickyness.. I am getting pretty used to the rennsports on my 600 race machine

This is just in time, have the M1's on now, and they are cooked at 2300 miles, front is so cupped the front has a nice hum
Have spooned on 207's, pilot sports plus the recent M1's and getting tired of replacing every time I turn around, so.. Swampnut.. no complaints at all on the Avons?? it would be nice to get 6000 out of a set. Any one have cupping issues with them?
Thanks Gang

Okay, bought some tools (14 bucks worth) online, 6-14-03. The send em, they work .. all is good.
Then one year later (last week) I get a letter, stateing that their payment system made a mistake and never charged my credit card, plus now the shipping is more.
You have got to be kidding me, a year later? Now they would "appreciate" payment. Feel like sending the tool back. But then it would cost me more $$.
Was going to purchase more from them, but re thinking the whole thing.
