  1. Any idea, does the battery suppose to look 'dry' as it looks the top surface are covered with some white sponge? Anybody pour the acid before (brand new battery) notice the level of the acid inside the battery? Does the acid obviously seen from the hole? at the mean time I'm charging the battery using low amp to recover the battery, to prevent surface charging and its more on knowledge purpose. Still able to run 1 day without problem. Monitoring the volts before and after each rides to see the drops of voltage. Getting a new battery soon for safety reason as I dont want to squat by the road side.... Thanks guys for all the info....
  2. Post wrongly... Mod, Please move to The Garage. Sorry and thanks
  3. Try to find similar problem in older threads... either I miss it or it just not there. Just re-direct me if somebody know where the solution to my problem... thanks. Riding 2001 model, 2nd batch FI. Stock bike without any add on esp on electrical side. No recent mods prior to problem. Bike been running as per normal. After stop for 5hrs, unable to start the bike. Sound like the battery was week. After release the starter, clock reset and all LED on (as when turn on the key). Thinking the battery was weak/die, so resort to push start. The bike was able to start then (normal condition, without any abnormal syntoms). Riding back for 45min rides averaging 90km/hr, with hope to charge back the battery. Before off the engine, try to throttle to check the RR was in good shape. Headlight brighter when throttle more (RR in good codition I believe). Unable to measure the volts and amp as no multimeter around. With multimeter to check the next day, the battery volts show 12volts, amp from 19A and drop to 15A within 3-4sec. So I believe the battery still in good shape. But still unable to start the engine. Appreciate any help out there... Tomorrow would be no XX to office, just a slow train. Need to head down much earlier than normal... sigh..
  4. ha ha, dont know it need to turn to the left. Normally I straight it up, hold to grab rail, and use the arm strength to pull and my leg to push the center stand. Hold the handle bar just to stabilize myself. Cant rely on my weight, I'm just 50kg and 1.72m height.
