So I need a commuter bike, and I don't want to put the miles on the bird. So I am looking for ideas on a bike I can ride to work and let Do ride on the weekends and to meets. Something light enough for her to handle, but still in the 600cc range...So I can have fun on it. Any ideas or leads.. about $3000 or less.. age of bike really isn't important as long as the reliability is consistent.. Oh, and of course it has to look cool... Thanks...

With out Do knowing I have been looking for a new bike for her. That I can steal and use to commute with... I found this, from the article post.. 1992 Yamaha XJ600S Seca II. Only 3700 Miles. Perfect Commuter, light tour, beginner/intermediate rider. Super Clean. New Tires, New Seat, Rebuilt Carbs, New Tank, anyone have any experience with these... He is asking $2000 Or does anyone know of a similar bike FoR SAle? same price range

Follow up question.. Is there a limit to the amount of back pressure you can drop on the Fi birds.. I have a wacky idea to put some tiny "almost straight "pipes on her to test them out..slash mess around// Will these work if I put on enough of them? How flexible is the Fi at sensing exhaust outflow needs??Not an expert... My Carbed bird needed tweeking when going from the erion race cans to Rc51 Mircons.. Brett helped my synch the carbs once I settled on the cans.. I am waiting for delivery on my first Fi bird, and have two sets of cans ready for the testing..

Am I loosing my mind or are the HID prices crazy low? $70-$150 Anyone have a brand they would recommend, the ones on my 97 were 6000k but I can't remember the name, I got them from the old group buy here.. I have a euro switch for the high beam modulator should I just mount another standard H7 in the headlamp housing and run it to the trigger? Or run it to the fogs? or perhaps some crazy under tail LEDS and dance my way down the highway? I don't want to be flashing HIDs Any suggestions...?? clearly this whole (I haven't even taken delivery on the bike thing is burning a hole in my pocket)
