yEAH i RODE AXXT 2004 WITH A TL1000 LEADER. (TREVOR) The pipes were aftermarket .. can't remember what brand, but the thing was as loud as a Hardley.That was the other bike I was looking at before I found my bird.. I really like the finished product I got from just removing the paint on the black rims. I have a polishing kit coming tomorrow so I will shine Them up and do the front wheel as well.. I'll find a place to host some pics once they are both done.. I have some new cans to show off as well.. Good job on your wheels though they do set off the cans well. Why did you take all the paint off just to put it back on.? My wheels look just like the final product.. left the factory black on the spokes.. Unless you have silver wheels to begin with ? Thanks

Rear wheel done.. The aluminum tape worked great... One side came out a bit cleaner than the other but it looks great.. Only the lip was done. Gotta make arrangements to get the front done.. I order the caswell aluminum polishing kit... I am gonna wait till I get that to do the front.. What do you guys suggest using to maintain the finish.. John suggests clear coat spray paint..? Thanks for the help I'll try yo post some pics but hosting for me is kinda a pain..

Bump. I just tried stripping my rims with the Aircraft stuff.. I think the aluminum tape will allow bleeding.. I want a nice crisp line.. Should I use a Paint brush and the Alum Tape or another kind of masking tape..

HAHAHA.. Kidding.. I made the appointment at the shop for us.. Looks like April 23rd..It is gonna take some time to get the bike tuned on the dyno.. I don't know how many runs it needs, but my jetkit install should only be a few hours if that.. We might want to make sep appointments if is gonna take that long to tune each bike..Or crash at my buddies house and leave the bikes there for a day and a half so we can get both done. I got myself a new can setup and have a stage one jet kit to install.. I DON'T KNOW CARBS AT ALL... I am looking for a good install / tuning shop to put it in for me anyone know of a good shop in the tri state area?

I have the same Garmin.. How much should the antenna cost...where to buy? I know the SPIII takes a while to recalculate but I cant imagine such a huge change from such a small antenna.. I though some of the delay in calculation was gue to the processor speed in the SPIII.. I am quite interested in this mod.. Any further info would be greatly welcomed.. thank you come again'

What's the most common drop for a front sprocket swap. How many teeth? Down one in front will add more low end torque right.. Whats the advantages of a rear sprocket swap?

There's nothing special.. to see.. Kerker blackbird mids.. But the angle is steeper than stock..I'll get them (pics) up so what do I do about the excess pressure it takes to keep them bolted on.. Should I worry about it or just bolt them up...?

I made my own exhaust from a two different sets.. Kerker mids and Erion pipes from a RC51.. The pipes don't line up perfect in the back.. I can bolt them to the rear sets with some pushing.. but fear that with a hot header pipe and hot mids I may crack something..OR Will the heat from the engine loosen up the pipes and relieve some of the pressure? Can I heat up the mids with a blow torch and bend it in a smidge? or grind off the ring on the header for better alignment Those who have changed their pipes... have you found that the new sets bolts in straight without a problem..???? OR there a good deal of pushing and bolt pressure holding the pipes straight?? Thanks for any help..

During my rear rack fabrication I must have lost one.. I must not have the right torque for my faring screws..

Looking for a good source for the little nick nacks that have a tendancy to fall into the farings and disappear forever.. Need the black washer/spacer between the grabrail and the rear cowl. need a standard fairing screw.. hex head standard.. Go to honda dealer? PA you got a box of goodies in the garage?

I like the ignition idea, what kind of splitter box can I use to pull one hot line from this "RED HEADLIGHT WIRE" and then plug all my goodies into the new distribution box? Radio Shack Thingy?

Getting mine out was a pain..Needle noise vice grips and a thin flat screw driver. THe retaining clip is really the only tricky part.. Work one end out then reposition the screwdriver around the lips still attached..Once the clip is out put the stock barend bolt in and grab a hold with a good set of plyers... Wiggle up and down up and down up and down and is will SSLLLOOOWWWLLLYYY work its way out.. ps spit helps!!! :wink:

That seems a bit extensive..how big are the cans your using? If you end up cutting snap some pics along the way our grand children will need to know how to do this as well.. Good luck..I'm waiting on my cans from canada.. Erion 's
