  1. Did you check the fuel filter?
  2. Measure the “trigger” voltage of the relay - I’m not quite sure, but I think it is a blue wire. Measure the 12V+ voltage switched by the relay. You can remove the relay from the connector - then you can test the relay easily itself.
  3. Check the relay under your seat and the corresponding connector. Currently I am no quite sure, but for the 01xx I think it is the left one.
  4. Before you remove the wheels press the brake pistons back, makes later installation much easier. Be careful not to damage the brake pads and the disks.

    100W Headlight?

Just removed my bulb. Philips has different kinds of H7 12V/55W bulbs. The "normal" one, one which is ~30% brighter, and the H7 Vision Plus that is 50% brighter than the normal one. The dealer told me that the heat of the Vision Plus bulb is the same as for the normal one. Therefore one can install it without problem.
  6. Thank you Hookman49, yes I wanted to remove the bulb. Applied your procedure - quite straight forward and you need slim hands.
  7. Hi, does anybody know an easy procedure for headlight removal? Or do I have to remove the complete upper cowl?
  8. Well, as far as I know from model 1999 onwards Iridium plugs are required by Honda. The NGK CR9EHIX-9 for model 1999 and 2000. The NGK IMR9A-9H for model 2001 onwards The price in Germany for them is approx. ~$29 for the IMR9A-9H ~$15 for CR9EHIX-9 Before I changed my plugs for my 2001 model I inspected both types. Visually there was no difference between them – the rest I don’t know. Looking into the NGK spark plug specifications I couldn’t find any information about the differences. Therefore I decided to go with the cheaper ones. While driving I can’t recognize any differences - so they are fine for me since the last 10.000km.
  9. depends on the plugs, the IMR9A-9H are approx. two times more expensive then the other Iridium plugs.
  10. hi Dusty, don’t know which model you have. I think it is called petcock assembly (where the fuel tap is), the 97 models have it. In there is a diaphragm. Check this one. Because if this is damaged it causes the same behaviour you are describing.
