FS: Honda Elite 250cc Scooter $1900
TOXXIC replied to MrBadExxample's topic in The Sales Floor -- For Sale/Wanted
Such a low mileage specimen of beauty, would look hot parked next to my red, 2001 Bird. Good luck with the sale, I don't gobble enough cum by the gallon to afford that one yet! -

WTT Pazzo short lever for long
TOXXIC replied to TOXXIC's topic in The Sales Floor -- For Sale/Wanted
I love them, just don't like not having all four fingers on the levers. Most people prefer fewer fingers. Don't get me wrong, they look awesome, and are currently installed on the bike! -
I have a set of black on black Pazzo shorty levers I would like to trade for a set of long, Pazzo levers. Anybody? Bueller? The pic below is from their site, it shows black with gold adjusters. Mine are black with black adjusters, and they look perfect, brand new. Let me know: These are the length I want, and this is the color scheme I have to trade.

Twenty or thirty of us should kick in twenty or thirty bucks and buy one for the last guy to have wrecked his bike. With the following qualifications: The recipient must log, photograph and write reviews and impressions. Limits one person's liability and answers all of our questions. Additionally, we help out a brother in need. Just an idea.............I'm up for twenty. The math was based on a set I saw sell for $480.00

Knew I should have called you Stan!

Thanks for the help guys! The hi-dollar FPR arrived and I installed it last night. However, suspect I could have been more effective in my installation. I used vise grips and carefully pinched off the fuel return line, and set it in a cottage cheese container. Next, I disconnected the vacuum line and removed the 24 mm hex headed fastener holding the FPR to the fuel rail. Once the FPR was removed, a steady flow of gasoline began to pour/trickle out the end of the fuel rail. Simultaneously, I tried to catch the gas, and remove the O ring connectors from the old FPR and install them in the new FPR. Eventually I got the new FPR seated, and tightened down. I did have a nice puddle of gas under the bike when I was done. I completely rinsed the effected areas off and buttoned it back together. Short of draining the tank, what could I have done differently to avoid the fuel spill? Fired the bike up and it backfired and ran rough, but eventually it cleared itself out and began to run smoothly. Hopefully I won't have to replace the sparkplugs, as I am cheap and don't want to mess with them during peak riding season.

Stan, I am so confused, did you add or change screen names?
-
Nope, I didn't bid, just watched the auction. Some day I plan on doing a 4-into-1, Mig hi mount.

Did you buy the header out of Puyallup WA for about $180? Do you know what the measurement is where the header exits and meets the midpipe?
-
Tom at Turbo City seems like a good guy. Guess they raised their rates, just paid $129.00 for the FPR. Thanks for the links, he is sending it out tomorrow, hope to have it installed this week!
-
Thanks! I was tryinng to call Mr.Turbo rather than Turbocity.com I have a call into "Tom" at Turbocity hopefully he gets back to me today. Thanks again for the clarification.
-
This is no Mike at Mr. Turbo. Apparently I have to call back between 3-5 pm CST...........
-
Well it is confirmed, I have the drip. Don't know about the Mr. Turbo part. For removal/install does the large hex nut on the end of the fuel rail have to come off; or can the FPR be turned off? The FPR appears to have flat surfaces on two sides.

Well, I can smell gas in my oil. I am downloading the manual from the board, and will dig in further. Stan do you know where you bought the $100 FPR? I need to order one ASAP. Gonna go do the leak test in a minute.

I can vouch, this is one awesome bike. Wheelies like a champ, and will shoot flames out the tail pipes. I believe there was once video. Sorry to hear you have to sell, you pipes are awesome! I'll be number two behind Josh.

Fuel pressure regulator eh? I checked the battery connections, and they seemed tight. Bike is on the tender. However, it rare got hot enough to kick the fan on. Think the highest I saw was 220. Worked on my Samurai today, getting it ready for a weekend romp. Was going to ride to work tonight, but won't really help if it isn't above 62 degrees out. My service manual is for my old carbed bike, no F.I. info. Where is the FPR? I haven't pulled plugs yet as they are brand new, and the problem clears out when the bike isn't warm. Hope they aren't fouled as I got seriously hosed on how much I paid for them. I did a gloved finger check of all of the headers, and they were all hot. Wish I had a lazer, temperature tester.

When I recently bought my 2001 redbird it only had 5K miles, and ran really rough, and sounded like it was running on three cylinders. I drained the tank, and replaced the spark plugs. The bike ran great until the last few events unfolded: About 2 weeks ago ZUUS and I went for a ride together, and I ran the bike until the last bar on the fuel gauge was blinking. The nearest fuel station was an ARCO, which I wasn't crazy about. I topped off the tank, and rode away without incident. Anyway, a couple days later I rode 70 freeway miles with no problems; however on the way home, the next 70 miles were a nightmare. I was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic and the bike started to miss, stutter, and stall. By the time I limped home it sounded like it was running on two cylinders. I assumed the plugs had fowled. The guy riding behind me said he could smell gas really strongly. I too could smell gas really strong while seated on the bike. When I got home, I let the bike sit and about thirty minutes later, I fired the bike up and it ran perfectly? I added a half a can of Seafoam and rode it a couple miles, and it seemed fine. This morning I rode to work, and had no problems. It was cool outside, and the bike handled fine. On the way home, sitting in traffic the bike started jugging, and again sounded like it was running on three cylinders? I stopped and bought a bottle of Heet, and poured half the bottle in the tank, along with some GumOut, fuel injector cleaner. The rest of the way home, it idled rough and chugged when below 3K RPM's, howerver the bike would smooth out above 3K RPM's. The bike is a 2001, with Mig, Hi-mount slip-ons. It also has Redbird's PCII mapped for an Akra 4-into-1 full system. It should be noted it had the same problem two weeks ago prior to installation of the PCII. Any thoughts or wisdom? Have any of you installed in-line fuel filters? I had them on my last carbed bird.

So, no "rack" either way?
