  1. Start up your car, run a hose from exhaust to mole hole, let it run 1/2 hour, nuff said
  2. I'd try a product called goof-off. It removes pretty much anything. Else get a gel based graffiti remover. Pressure washing should be the last resort. If I remember paint thinner also removes linolium and carpet glue in the first 24 hours
  3. Home run to the modem is absolute, I found out the hard way. I bought a $50 4 way amp at Radio shack that is absolute shit. The best thing i did for my cable needs was to buy a 1GHz gold spliter and blow up the shit from radio Shack.
  4. OK, I have been having some trouble shifting 1-2 and 2-1. It's just being a bitch sometimes and not very smooth. Thats just a little info. The main concern that has me wondering WTF is this morning I go to roll back the bird for a morning ride and it felt like I ran up against something on the floor. Again, I am pushing it backwards, in nutral, not running and as alway clutch in. Ok, rolling back it feels like I hit something so I stop pushing back and it springs forward the same amount of resistance as I had going back. Very much like I was rolling up on a 4x4 or something like that. I look and there is nothing there. I pushed a little harder and heard a snap, and then all is well again. Did I have a hung brake, glazed clutch. fucked transmission what?? Seems fine now but me-no-likey shit like that. 03 6000 miles. Any thoughts
  5. I have to change out the mapp on my 03 AK 4-2-1 setup because my gas mileage SUCKS. I am burning through a gallon and 1/2 more per tank than most of the others riders I polled. I know its running a little rich but WTF. It has an erion racing mapp loaded now since an AK mapp does not exist. I'll try other 4-2-1 maps as soon as I get/buy/borrow or steal a cable.........thanks Paul
  6. Saving your hands is in the knees. You should be able to squeeze the tank just hard enough to let you hands rest on the bars when you need a break. Your hands get numb because your cutting of the blood supply by leaning on the grips too hard. Back off the bars. For long trips trips I would recommend throttle miester. You can lock your throttle and again, allow you to rest your hands on the bars rather than resting your body on your hands. I modified and installed Buell pegs and I am 6-4 as well. Didn't like them at all. I do like my heli bars. With the pegs lowered I always felt I was going to grind a foot off...... PS if you are going to modify the buell pegs all you need is a bench grinder.
  7. I am buying alpha's AK. He says the pcIII has intermitant problems. Mostly fuel starving issues. I have asked the guy at fuelmotousa.com, here in WI to help find a map. PS he is a PC dealer>>>> about $240 for the bird. Great guy and great help with PC issues. Rich (hobicus) has offered his map that I will most likely try is Justin at fuelmoto can't help.......Someone from the Euro board said go have a custom map made>>>>no fuckin clue how or where to do dat der hey>>WI talk
  8. I won't have my new 4-2-1 till next week so no big hurry on the map although I do appreciate it. Hope the work goes well on the new ride. So did you get a duplicate? Silver 02 or did you get the fast color....black? Dave, I will take you to the airport on tuesday, I need to borrow your ladder...... I have jobs booked all week so no riding for me........unless the lottery gods smile kindly on my broke ass!! See ya

  10. Does anyone have or can direct me to a PC III map for my 03 bird with a full 4-2-1 Akrapovic exhaust. There are some 4-2-1 maps out there but I was looking specifically for the AK. Otherwise please offer any suggestions on a good 4-2-1 map......thanks guys

  12. I had a recall notice for my 03. Pain in the ass. Dealer needs the bike to do a load test on the front brake lines. Basically the measure the pressure at rest then bounce it around for 10 minutes, let it settle and test again. Takes about an hour. Dealer has tested 50 BB/STand GW that were recalled with no fixes ever needed. Just watch the linage joints for leakage, then worry.
  13. I always seem to be pretty close to bottoming out the 03 and she seems to hit ruts and dips pretty frikkin hard. I'm 230 lb and in need of an upgrade to the front springs. Any suggestions? Ohlin/Progressive>>>>>>>
