    FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forks are off and found a set of aftermarkets. Now to drive 40 minutes. That was the first thought that crossed my mind Tim, "If I have to I'll ride the seca again." that little bitch kept up and you know it 8) I figure the weather is gonna be beautiful in TN due to the fact of all the hoops I've been jumping through. Seized bolts and now this. :banghead:
  3. Just walk into the garage and I have a blown fork seal FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!!
  4. Replace the chain and both sprockets
  5. Seconded And with the 5/8 bore Mcyl one finger hauls the bitch down in a hurry and the pads aren't even bedded to the new rotors yet.
  6. Hey Forrest, what oil did you use? I just got mine yesterday and am going to start with 3w.
  7. I get to be a product tester  So I go to my local shop looking for some fork oil and to see if Denny can can mount some fresh tires for me before SEXXT. Any way, He says "you know what temp your bike runs at right?" I say yeah? He says "here" and tosses me a bottle of two2cool and says "with the miles you ride you're the guy to try this out. Let me know if I should start stocking this." I say "You know I'm gonna be doing TN next week, are you gonna come and tow me if this stuff fucks me up?" and he says "yes" So now I'm a product tester. Any body try this stuff yet?

  9. A day and a half! Dude, call me next time. I could have had all the body work off for you in no time. Ken It actually took about 15 minutes to get the body work off. it was the 2 over torqued fender bolts that took the rest of the time.

  12. I learned that the XX's petcock is NOT vacuum actuated  I learned that if you pull a NIK and over tighten the front fender bolts they tend to not want to come out ever again  I learned that Craftsman bolt extractor kits cost 50 bucks but work quite well. I learned that the Speigler kit was really not a big deal to install. Just compare the fittings on the line you just took out and the orientation is fairly easy. I learned that if you use a large cresent wrench on the 3-way manifold for the front when you tighten the lines and then bolt it onto the bike you don't have to grind that nub off the delay valve. I learned that the two larger speed bleeders fit the rear caliper and make bleeding the system a piece of cake. I learned that the other 5 speed bleeders don't fit anything :? I learned that teflon tape solves the air leak problem around the stock bleeders. I learned that by going to stainless lines and a bigger bore master cylinder I'll have to adjust my front brake technique 8) All in all it took a day and a half to take the body work off the bike(because I was too ham fisted) and a half day to get the lines on and bled. Oh, one more thing I learned, Sears was giving 10% off this weekend and had the fridge we were looking for in the clearence room so if you don't want to spend the money don't call the wife  Walked in looking for a bolt extractor and walked out with it, and a fridge, and a stove and a dishwasher.
  13. I'll be doing mine this weekend. Glad mines a 2000 I did a quick glance at the rotors and didn't see any directional arrows. Is there a left and right or are they universal?

  17. You can also try a propane torch. Heat the nut and then wrench on it while it's still hot. Just watch which direction the flame is going.
  18. Just by Nik a plane ticket down and back. He break the bitch loose 8)
  19. Father Fuzz has one that works great on picnic tables, don't know what model it is
  20. Good thought Frank. You can test the fan sending unit with a thermometer, DMM and a pan of water. Pull the SU and put it in the pan of water with the thermometer. put it on the stove and check continuity with the DMM. You can see what temperature the switch closes at.
  21. What do you expect when you haven't had any sleep cause you've been working all night.
  22. I don't know about a bad thermostat letting air into the system but they usually fail open which means coolant is constantly moving and doesn't cool as efficiently.
