  1. If you have bags you need to grab the passenger peg/muffler mount. step down on the center stand and lift up simultainiously. No pulling forward or backward involved
  2. Thanks Warchild, that pretty much makes up my mind.
  3. Warning!! hijack That's a great song! We now return you to the Kawasaki thread

They get hit with full voltage once power is applied and you get an instant flash. then the voltage is cut and they warm up to full output in maybe 5 seconds if cold. the hi is the same, if it's hot and you dip the high for a passing car and it hasn't cooled down much it'll come right back. I haven't notice any impact on starting or battery. in fact they should be less of a drain than standard bulbs.
  5. Bump Any longer term reports on these tires?
  6. Sweet Ruhi, Much better pictures than mine.
  7. What he said. Also make sure you're crimping the metal and not just the plastic cover.
  8. DOhhhhhhhh I think I hear the sound of the pieces of my broken balls hitting the floor  You got me Suf, I'guess I'll hafta bring the chocolate syrup to NEXXT.
  9. I believe that clip is like a splatter shield for the relief hole. (keeps the master from cumming in your face with the cap off.) Let's step back a minute.. Will the clutch engage and dis-engage? If the piston was frozen and not dis-engaging your clutch lever would feel like the brake lever. If you've got some of that crap in the slave and it's preventing the piston from returning to rest it'll be like you're holding the clutch in all the time. Do this, put the bike on the center stand and put it in gear, try to turn the rear, it should not turn. Then pull in the clutch, it should turn.
  10. In all seriousness dude, If this is what you found when you popped the cap you may want to consider a complete teardown to be safe. I hope the brakes didn't look like this.
  11. No,no,no,no... Chocolate syrup is for pouring over nipples not for clutch fluid.
  12. You have to bleed the master cylinder. Turn the bars all the way to the right, top off the res and just ever so slightly work the clutch lever an 1/8 to 1/4 inch. Just enough to move the piston. when the bubbles stop coming up through the res wait about 5 minutes and repeat. Once you get to air out of the master you'll start to feel the clutch and can finish bleeding the system. Hope this helps D
  13. No, it's a motor thing. Same concept as syncing the carbs Check the manual 5-83
  14. No need, I've already converted them to pneumatics. This way I never have to bleed the blinkers again. Re: the other question. Turn west and start walking. You just keep walking until it feels like you've wet yourself. this is called the ocean. It's filled with water. Now rain is little bits of this water stuff and it actually falls from the sky. This is how the ocean gets filled, well, flushing your toilet helps too. Sometimes this rain can cause you not to want ride your bike, I know, this is a bad thing but at least it tends to keep the trees from burning.
  15. I'm off work Monday and it's suppose to rain so I figure it'll be a good day to work on the bike. Planning on plugs, air filter, oil/filter(already) and lube/adjust throttle cable, sync start valves. Does anyone have any suggestions for other things on an FI while I'm into it
  16. Tell me Pete, how does the bike run with the 18 compared to stock? I know mileage should be better and obviously topend would be more, Not that I need that after yesterday. I guess, what are your impressions of the overall benefits?
  17. That would all depend on your diet. You would have to go with a good chili or some baked beans. But you can't just use the stock beans. You'll have to do a few mods by adding some extra brown sugar and a good wing or rib sauce. ( I prefer Sal's sauce. high energy potential plus it's made with orange so it tends to be self cleaning) You could also try Swampnut's wings but due to high liquidity it might hard to light and you would have to go with a hotter plug. the only problem with this is that anything that doesn't burn would leave the back of the bike all shitty.
  18. Of course you know Scott... If you screw a spark plug into your ass and light those baby's you could probably pick up an extra 2-3 horsepower for passing.
  19. Large channel locs will also do the trick to loosen it. When you reinstall make sure the old gasket is not stuck to the engine flange, run a film of oil on th new gasket and hand tighten the new filter, no wrench
  20. Unless your a harley rider  Honestly, they're ok for overnight or maybe a weekend and they do look good but you'll need a tank bag any maybe a tail bag for an extended stay. you have to empty them to remove them. If you want capacity and convienience go with givi. if you want style and adequate capacity go with the beetles. Or, go with the beetles for your road gear and a givi top case for clothes.
  21. Try actuating the secondary master cyl with vacuum applied
