  1. Great, Bob Z. PM me your postal address, and I'll get them in the mail on Monday. Please let us know the good deed that you'll attribute to this token!
  2. (2) new-in-package windshield clips (rubber covered nuts) and (2) new-in-package plastic trim (push button fairing) clips, mailed to you free-of-charge in exchange for one good deed, your choice of person and action.
  3. 2000+ miles at sustained 90mph was why it was changed. Changed to Valvoline cuz i have about 8 gallons of it here and didnt make a shit of diff in my old 97. Peg lowers cuz im 6'3" and dont forget, blue gauges cuz indiglo is da shit Only thing left is to repair a cpla worn throttle cables and drop it in the street... Cruising the highway is easy on the oil, it would have been fine for at least 5,000 miles. The rest? Yikes. But, I can appreciate it for a bit of humor. Good luck!
  4. Oh, Hooplehead, why did you change out my expensive, fully synthetic, Castrol racing oil, of proper weight, for a no-name, cheap, light weight oil? Change back to something good, and make a positive, not lazy, shift, with the factory pegs and shifter. All has been right with that bike.
  5. Thanks, frustyd! Currently have a deal in the works with Hooplehead. Deal should be complete the week after next, with the 'bird "flying" to NC. Will post an update when final.
  6. Thanks for the feedback. Some will appreciate the original, mostly unadorned, state of this bike over one that has been "tricked out." Also, this is the final year for the bike in the United States, and it's the "right color". Plus, the Super Blackbird is more rare and, perhaps, special, than a late Concours. Finally, one can always make an offer!
  7. Easter special! $5,500. Won't be dropping from here for some time, if any time.
  8. This! Fly and ride. Are you buying a bike not to ride it?
  9. I've shipped two bikes before, one I took to a location near the airport, the other was picked up at my home. You arrange for shipping, for pick up at my home, I'm fine with that. Full bank-to-bank wired payment prior to ship. FaceTime so you can see and hear the bike, all the details, before payment.
  10. I can't believe it, either! I'm willing to come down a little in price, too. In the meantime, I'll appreciate it, riding it occasionally. This bike is so beautiful, well engineered, smooth and powerful, it makes my V7 feel like a rototiller!
  11. Fuck yes I would.....Make an offer, it would be the more mile put on it then you will over the next 5 years I purchased this bike from a rider living in Salinas, CA. Rode it home, from Carmel, CA, to Scottsdale, AZ, over 700 miles in 11 hours. It's good at that!
  12. New Clutch Fluid New Rear Tire Test / Scrub Left Test / Scrub Right
  13. No, sorry, as long as I have the bike I want use of those!
  14. Replaced the clutch fluid today, wheel goes in tomorrow for a new Michelin Pilot Road 2. Totally ready for a new owner!
  15. Just ordered a new rear tire, will be mounted this coming week.
  16. What is this? What you'd expect from actually riding a motorcycle, rather than storing it in a garage as a museum piece. So, think insignificant rubs, scratches, rock chips and so on. Most that view this bike are amazed it's a 2003, many have commented they thought it was new.
  17. I've had some nibbles from CL and AdvRider. I'm a little flexible on price, feel free to talk with me.
  18. Last year imported, in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, 18,XXX miles (very low), with luggage set, bar risers, original owner's manual and tool set, service manual, cover and bag, and miscellaneous hardware. The SW-Motech with Givi luggage set and GenMar bar risers retail for a total of around $1,500 new. Recent air filter, coolant, and oil and filter replacement. Minor patina. Located in North Scottsdale, Arizona. Price drop! Was $6,000, then $5,800, now $5,500. Won't be dropping from here for some time, if any time. Sold!
  19. Separate ads for these now, with close-ups. Throttlemeister: http://www.honda599.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6383 Toprack: http://www.honda599.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6384
  20. The sideracks are sold! Remaining are: SW-Motech Alu-rack Toprack, Retail $145, 70% = $101.50, Savings > $43.50 Throttlemeister cruise control, Retail $117, 70% = $81.90, Savings > $35.10 Come and get 'em!
  21. Everything went with the bike sale except for the sideracks, toprack and Throttlemeister. As mentioned, I'll go 70% of Retail, shipping CONUS included (the Retail price doesn't include shipping, so you're saving over 30% on each item). Thus: SW-Motech Quick-Lock Sideracks with Givi Sidecase Adaptor Kit, Retail $250, 70% = $175, Savings > $75 SW-Motech Alu-rack Toprack, Retail $145, 70% = $101.50, Savings > $43.50 Throttlemeister cruise control, Retail $117, 70% = $81.90, Savings > $35.10 The first to commit gets the item!
