  1. the panels I talk about aren't the wood panels fron the 70's. These panels are like a hard vinyl with a insulation on the back side that pop together. Saw them on TV in some commercial from a local company that sells them. Havn't seen the comercial in a couple months though. Walls are already painted. Don't have any water problems down there. concrete floor don't even sweat when its more humid than the sweat dripping off my balls on a hot humid day riding in my black leather pants.
  2. Ok I need some help. I got a wide open basement that I am going to start working on and turn it into a Man room. This will probably be kinda longish so bear with me  roughly 30ft wide by 70 ft long. My house sits in a hill and so its one story in front, and 2 in the rear. All the walls down there are block. I have electric fixtures throughout the basement and plumbing set up already where you can add in a bathroom. I want to add carpet on 2/3's of it, and checker tile the other remaining 1/3. I also want to cover all the walls with sheetrock or some form of actual wall that will also help insulate the basement. Might top it off with a form of ceiling also to cover up the duct work and 8" steel beams that across the basement. I have the hotwater heater down there, the central air main duct thing, and a woodstove whick all sit against the samewall. I have 5 flouresent lights hanging which only lights about half of the basement pretty well. I plan on drawing some rough floor plans up, and scanning them. Hope maybe someone here will let me email them and post them up for me This will be my first time doing something like this myself on a scale this size. I have done some contruction work with my brother-in-law when younger, so I am not completely dumb. Never had to attach walls to block walls so that will be new. Laying carpet and tile I have done, along with some wiring of lights. I need to know what kinda walls to put up, either build them out of 2x4's and sheetrock or also seen something on tv about some kind of paneling walls.. building a bathroom will also be fun, any and all help will be very welcomed
  3. Cold air is awsome.. Felt the front end get light the other weekend when I smacked 3rd gear
  4. http://www.empiregp.com/new_plastic.php?pag=hondacbrxx Here are some from Empire GP a guy named Bob Brown owns it. Very great guy, fixes and repairs almost anything plus sells body work. Check out some of his work. He's in upstate New York. his shop number is (607)535-2453
  5. Might be the right box, but wrong filter.. Wife has a K&N filter on her car, and its a pain in the ass to get all the planets to line up so there is universal peace long enough for my to get the top of the intake housing back on.
  6. My plugs were replaced at almost 9k miles. The little center electrode looked like hell compared to the new irridium plug. I noticed my bike being hesitant at starting, and not as smooth feeling. Only thing I could figure it from was my mountain riding where I stay in the upper RPM's for a long time. I only got Leo Vince Slip-ons on my bike
  7. honestly don't remember  I read several posts on here about people changing plugs, wrote down the number people were using for 02' birds ordered them from Shawn while I had him on the phone for a couple other things. All I remember was the price being $32,
  8. I paid $32.00 for mine from Shawn at Tricktape. Look around you will find a better deal.
  9. they are they to keep birds, and other objects from flying in  I thought about putting some on my bike, but never did.
  10. Kinda looks alot like the town a friend of mine lived in. Schuylkill Haven, 5 or 6 miles south of Pottsville (home of Yulegling beer) or how ever you spell it
  11. ok so I missed one. Wonder the actual reason for Honda just using it on the bird, and not using it again till the CBR 1000RR came out :???: I still love the feel of the cable over the hydro's though
  12. My rear sprocket looks damn near brand new with 11,500 miles on it. Chain stay adjusted, cleaned, and lubed properly and has no dry or binding links. Will probably last all next season, and then I will replace all 3 at once. How much does do changing the sprockets from -1 front and +1 rear effect the speedo? Really wouldn't want to loose space under the seat to a yellow box.
  13. They are nice but can't justify spending $300 on it
  14. I remember reading that the Blackbirds levers are different cause at high speed the drag would actually pull the levers back far enough to make the brake light come on. Then again also. I have looked up levers for the XX and the Busa and for some reason both are different and cost more than other bikes oh yeah the blackbird is a hydro clutch where the F4I isn't.. don't know if it applies to all models of birds though
  15. no lights huh? any wires that go where the headlights use to be making contact and grounding out, or maybe a wire up front got cut or something.. I would probably start tracing wires first, and then get a voltmeter and start testing wires to see if juice is being sent..
  16. My wife can suck start a Harley, want me to send her over offer a helping hand? Actually check some little things.. like its not in gear, or kickstand switch, kill switch. Do you lights and everything else work?
  17. I got my rear shimmed 5.3 mm and the front end dropped 1/4" or so ( I forget the actual) I love it. Handleing is so much better when in the mountains. Just wants to fall into the turns. Instantly makes the bike feel 40lbs lighter in the turns. I visit the triple digits often, and do double posted corner speed with ease.
  18. You know you got 50,000 miles on your bike.. Glad to see you finally got her broken in
  19. I wanna change my pussy pink looking tach... and the shit brown LCD screens so bad.. :banghead:  OK I feel better Looks good, 2nd pic is kinda dark
  20. You know this is the ONLY site I know where members help each other out so much. I have seen it happen several times where someone will UPS a tool or what not to a fellow member, use it and then they send it back to the owner  Some people on other sites I would be leary of sending them a used condom
  21. I need a R/R for my Virago and partsmonster said he would personally go with a Ricks. Said he had a bad experiance with a Electex going through 3 of them before getting one that works for one of his bikes
  22. I can see someone explaining that to a officer "really officer, I read on the internet to get up to about 160mph and slam on the brakes to unglaze my pads"
  23. The pads have not yet been seated with the rotors. Or there may be a slight glazing on the pads. Give them a couple hundred miles to seat properly, and if they still sqeal pop them back out and sand them alittle with some sandpaper. Or go up to about 160 or so and slam on the brakes really hard.. Do that a few times and good as new
  24. make sure the suface area is free of all goo, gunk, tar, dirt, bug guts, cum, road grime, and all that fun stuff. A simple cleaning with rubbing alcohol will clean the surface very well.
