  1. I found some Pirelli's, and just ordered the MT66's in a 90/90-19, I am almost done with the project, carbs should be going back in within a couple weeks, and order a R/R and see what that ass stomping, fire breathing whole 535cc's bitch can do.. Then let the wife have it
  2. Her bike takes a 90/90-19 or 3.00/90-19 front tire on her Virago. Problem is finding a 90/90 front. The 90 tire is for sizes. 2.75 to 3.00 and 100 tire is for 3.25 to whatever. Would it hurt much by just buyin a 100/90-19 and make my life a whole lot simpler. Turn in would be alittle slower, but this is her first bike, and this will be her first riding season. I wanna order them from swmototires.com and found a crap load of tires that are 100/90 any advise ?
  3. I ride some pretty twisty stuff in the mountains, only had the rear skip on me once, and that was from the road conditions. They do get sticky.
  4. I ride aggressive when the roads allow for it. Which is about 70% of my riding I was running 36F and 38R for pressure. This this time around I will bump it up to 38F and 40R might help
  5. I am running a 49 front with a 46 rear. I got I think almost 4.5k miles out of my rear and shes toast. Hey Demon I am going with the 46 again this go around. I got a bike ride in May, that will be like 800 miles in that weekend and don't wanna burn up a 50 on the back from sight seeing  Might try it out in the middle of summer.
  6. what about using a 2 Bros. C-2 pipe, and cut the pipe the to correct legnth and rivet the end cap back on?
  7. Sorry must have misunderstood  My buddy has a 929 01' I believe and it has a 190 on the rear tire. Came with a 190 from the factory. I wouldn't know what modifications would be needed to make it fit a bird. sorry for the confusion
  8. buddy of mine had his 02' bird leak out all the brake fluid in the rear. He took it to the shop and they said they couldn't find anything wrong. But went ahead and tightened everything up.. If nothing is wrong where did the fluid go, and why would you have to tighten up anything? Haven't had a problem with mine.
  9. I know the 929 did.. Buddy has one,
  10. I replaced mine at 8,900 miles. Don't know why or for whatever reason but they looked rough. I had what looked like normal looking ends, not wet or fouled out looking. But the little irridium electode part was pretty worn compared to the new NGK's I had gotten. only costed me $32 for the 4 so not too bad
  11. I am currently at 11,883.. Doing my 12k mile maintance on my bike. I can ride to work but prefer not to. So my bike is strictly after work, and days off toy.
  12. thank you so much.. will buy you a beer if we ever meet.
  13. Why can't I find it? pointless to type in blowjob in the search I just get back almost every post ever made here. I looked up radiator flush and even just posts Warchild made all the way back to April 03' with no luck. Wanna do my radiator this weekend so I can start putting my bike back together.
  14. Good point.. kinda goes back to the light bulb. If every lightbulb lasted forever, the light bulb manufactures would go out of bizz really quick
  15. I would go with 2 Bros. if they are the only pipes your looking at. I was going to get 2 Bros. but decided to go with the Leo Vince pipes instead. If Akropovic made a full system and kept the dual pipes, I would have that system
  16. I never for the life of me understood why the manual says to change the oil every 8,000 miles. This is a motor that uses the oil for lubrication and also cooling of metal parts in the engine and transmission. The motor is designed to turn high RPM's, 10,800 as a redline. My bike with the stock gearing turns right at 3,000 RPM's running 55 MPH. Bike Temp averages 185 F - 190 F sometimes higher on them warm days mid summer.
  17. I change my oil every 2500 miles like clock work, I could run cooking oil in my bike and it would work if you changed it on a regular basis. I am going with Shell Rotella Preventive Maintance is the life of every car, truck, bike, boat, vibrator, dirtbike. Guy at work let his car oil go 17,000 miles over. Brand new car now. I don't expect that car to make it to 100,000 miles
  18. coming along pretty good, I really don't have much time to work on it. I did get a bunch of shit out of there. Told the wife to get who owned a few things down there to either come and get it, or its going bye bye. Really opened it up down there. Its actually a 1680sq ft basement. I need to move my pool table, and a few other things. I hooked up another light, still want another 4 or 5 flouresent lights up. So Need to finish up some wiring down there. Might be this time next yr before I finish. But when I do finish I will have a nice little man room.
  19. I am changing my oil this weekend as I finish up my winter PM. I am going with Shell Rotella synthetic, 5W-30 comes in a blue jug. I figured it wouldn't be long before they jack the price sky high on the Mobil 1. Probably blame it on the war in Iraq for the price increase, or cutting back of oil refinery.
  20. Figures, I asked the guy at the shop which weight to get. He told me to get 15  Now I got 2 bottles of it
  21. What weight of oil is everyone using?
  22. I was cleaning up some and throwing away a bunch of shit, found a box that had been there for 10 yrs, inside it was a framed picture like in a museum with two Widow Mite coins :???: got the authenticity thing and all with it.. was my wifes grandmothers.. These coins are about 2000 yrs old hand stamped bronze. also found a mummiefied cat  under a old deep chest freezer.. think it was my wife cousins cat so the only excitement has been one dead pussy, and coins from the time of Jesus
  23. No cupping on the front.. looks almost brand new. think I got 4500 miles out of the set. Rear tire is almost completely toasted... will keep you updated
  24. Demon.. I am running the 49 in front and 46 in the rear.. Very nice turn-in, and front tire still looks brand new. I am thinking about going with the 50 rear, and if I don't like it go back to my 49/46 combo
