If replacing the CCT (which is likely the rattle source), make SURE that the replacement unit has 2 green dots on it. This is the "New, Improved" model of CCT. Your existing one prolly has 1 dot. Like they say, it's an easy fix. Remove the right lower, and it's 3 mins. from then. MrBrd2U

Urgent Q. - My bud put a '99 ECM on his '02, but now the FI light blinks constantly. Also, the Radiator fan doesn't come on even at 237 deg. - What's goin' on? Does the ECM have anything to do with the fan relay? Which ECMs are interchangeable with other Bird years? HELP!? TIA for responses! MrBrd2U

When you compare the 2 Bros. with the Micron, the Micron is about a half-inch larger in diameter where it joins the can. This has gotta mean better flow - the music is about the same, but the PCII map is better for the Micron (unless you alter it).

:grin: ThanXX to you folks for making me have a little more "Peace of (alleged) Mind" about the valve clearances at 16K miles. I think I'll just change the plugs, rad coolant, (with flush), air filter (K & N), and let 'er go for another 16K. PAIR valves & reeds looked good. :grin: ThanXX again! MisterBird2U

I'm in the process of checking valve clearances on my '99 with 16K miles. The shop manual doesn't seem to say that the radiator & oil cooler must be removed so the outer cam cover can be removed to get to the inner cam covers, and thence the cams/lifters. There would be a lot more room to remove the outer cam cover if I DID take off the rad & oil cooler, but what experience have you posters had? Any easy way? TIA MisterBird2U :cry:
