paul99xx Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 i've just bought a 99 model and the exhaust seems a little black, especially since the bike has aftermarket mufflers, i plan to put the original mufflers back on but i wondered if there is any common problems that i should be looking into? Quote
Northman Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 If you're keeping the stock exhaust, you'll be fine, a little black is normal. If you're using the slip-ons, the exhaust will get very black, but installing a PC will help it run cleaner and smooth things out. Some guys have said that a PC makes a difference on a stock bike as well, so it's up to you. The PC isn't necessary, but you'll notice the difference, and the black exhaust won't cause any problems, either. Quote
