I want to get better hiway miles by switching to stock or even going 18 up front...i cant remember what i have but i went -1 up from stock i know...if the size is indeed 17 could i got to 18 and still have some get up and go? RodeRash Posted December 15, 2003 Posted December 15, 2003 Another 1 tooth larger in the front may not get you the mileage you expect. (And there may be some clearance issues) The engine may need to work harder at the same speed. (bigger throttle opening) It may be better to drop 1 or 2 teeth (at the most) off the rear. This might be a better compromise between speed, acceleration and mileage. Quote
