LogoMan Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I just saw that one of my bungee bolts on the left hand side of my rear cowl fell out. Anyone have a spare they can spare? Quote
LogoMan Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 I think I have it. Come look. OK. Thanks! Quote

You're welcome. I got the impression from another board member that Service Honda was cheaper. I dunno. Seems they take turns. Quote
E.Ness Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I get a really good discount from the local Honda dealer here who I support. so for honda parts I buy them here. I feel for a difference of a few dollars I would prefer to support here. Yamaha and Suzuki are a different matter. the local Yamaha dealer is well renowned for being totally crooked. Suzuki dealer is 10 miles from here and takes a week to get parts. I was looking for parts for my R6 and found them at carolina cycle. they shipped fast and were easy to deal with. Let me know if you need the bungee bolt or not. Elliott. Quote
LogoMan Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 Elliot, I just scored the bolt and washer from cudgel. Thanks for keeping me in mind, though! Quote
BearXX Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 ? That stuff is for Harleys :icon_slap: Quote
Redbird Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 ? Harley bashing aside, be very careful using that stuff around the body work. Just the fumes have been known to generate cracks and splitting in XX plastics. Through the years we've seen a few tail pieces and upper cowls damaged by the use of Loctite on body bolts. Quote

Thanks for the tip. I've never used loctite on body bolts before and have never lost one. Maybe I just neglected to tighten this particular bolt enough. Quote
