Justin Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 How hard is it to replace the fork oil on the XX? I didn't see specific directions in the manual, so just wondering if you need to take the forks off... Or is their a drain plug somewhere? Quote
Para045 Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 You can try and do it by undoing the bolts in the bottom of the fork legs that holds in the damper rod but the correct way entails removing the forks This way you can drain it properly :icon_think: Quote

blackhawkxx Posted September 7, 2008 Posted September 7, 2008 I replied on this earlier but for some reason it isn't here as I looked later. Anyway, here is a good link to the subject: http://www.cbr1100xx.org/forums/index.php?...amp;hl=fork+oil Quote

runner Posted September 8, 2008 Posted September 8, 2008 Be sure to spray the drain bolt with WD40 and let it sit for a day or two. It will come right out...but be patient. I usually let the fork leg hang from a rafter in the garage (upside down) for a day to allow all old oil to drain from the fork leg. If you do a search in this form this was actually covered about 6 mos. ago.... Quote
