jblackbird2000 Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Looking for a 99-00 ECM. I just realized my FI light dosen't come on anymore. I know that this is a strange concern considering most 99-00 bird owners can't get their FI light to stay OFF. But my concern is that if the FI light dosen't come on, what else isn't working correctly? I ruled out the wire harness as a possible problem by ensuring I have good continuity from the light on the dash, all the way back to the ECM. The bike still starts and runs without any issues, I haven't had it out on a long journey yet though, and these electrical gremlins I've been battleing are keeping me from having the confidence to do that. EATAa (edited again to add) ETA - If anyone has a good working one that they don't want to part with, but wouldn't mind lending me to test with before I go and drop $500, I'd sure as hell appreciate it! Never mind the wanted to borrow BS. I was able to put another ECU into my bike thanks to Kevin's (titaniumbird) willingness to let me try his. Actually, we swapped Long story short, we fixed his grounding issue, and determined that I need a new ECU. Quote
