IndianaBob Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Can I jump my motorcycle battery with my car? :stupidsign: Quote
Northman Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Yes, but I wouldn't do it. Slow charge it back to life, instead. Ideally, a trickle charge for the next 24hrs ought to bring it back to 100%. A boost is good if you need the power now, but hard on the battery & charging system to replenish a dead battery. Quote

Pete in PA Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 I would say go ahead but with 2 cautions. Don't have the engine running on the car and as soon as the bike runs, disconect from the car. Quote
shovelstrokeed Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 I would strongly suggest staying away from the car thing. A battery charger is by far the safer way to go. The load of bringing up a deeply discharged battery can easily smoke your regulator. Quote
