Ripped1 Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 I am almost embarrased to ask, but how do you "polish" the wheels, and other aluminum parts? I am not a huge fan of chrome, but I think polished aluminum looks cool. Do I need to send my wheel to a plating shop, or is this something that I can do in my poorly stocked garage? :?: Quote
joe Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 Dude, Just hold on a little longer. I almost finished polishing my wheels and then I'm going to post pics and how-to tips. Joe Quote
joe Posted July 1, 2003 Posted July 1, 2003 Oh, and I'm doing the whole wheel and not just the outside lip. Quote
xrated Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 Since Joe is going to post pics and a "how to" I'll just say one thing. You can definitely do it yourself. Quote
The XXorcist Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 I agree it looks good, but a pain the in the ass too keep clean.. I used alot of Mothers to keep my rims all shiney on my last bike... Would not have it again, would rather keep them black, would really like too get some silver rims for the bird... powder coats or find some Canadian rims... they have a silver or light gray rims..
