SLyFoXX Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 OK I am lazy, I am sure I can look for it but I thought I would just ask. Picked up a set of plugs just want to confirm they are the correct ones. cr9ehix-9, I know on warchilds site he is showing cr9ehvx-9. I have an 2002 if that make a differnece. Quote
matey_peeps Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 What I know: My 99 takes cr9ehix-9 What I postulate to be true: Newer bikes take cr9ehvx-9 Quote
SLyFoXX Posted May 4, 2005 Author Posted May 4, 2005 http://www.ngksparkplugs.com/apps/motorcyc...?id=891&type=ir Found the correct one's exchanged them, the new one are $16 each vs. $10 each. Quote
porterb123 Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 The vx plug I believe was platinum and is replaced now by the ix plug. Newer models take the imra9a-9h...expensive boy. Quote
Warchild Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 cr9ehix-9, I know on warchilds site he is showing cr9ehvx-9. I have an 2002 if that make a differnece. The CR9EHVX-9 are the old platinum plugs, which were factory issue when I wrote that article 5 years ago. Then the Irridiums came out the following year, and the version you want is indeed the NGK CR9EHIX-9 spark plug. Quote
Northman Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 This is the one I purchasedIMR9A-9H Those are the correct plugs for the '02 Quote
bartonmd Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 The CR9EHIX-9 is OK to use on a '97 right? Just the irriduim is the only difference, and they last longer? Mike Quote
bartonmd Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 nevermind my Q... searched NGK's website and found that it's the right one for '97-00... but what is the difference between the Iriduim plug on the '97 and the one for the '03 that costs twice as much? Mike Quote
