Redd
We are pouring a sidewalk in the next week, and I wanted to incorporate lighting into it. Anyone ever try this? It is a low voltage system, but in concrete applications it states that I have to run conduit to the box in the concrete. Would I have to run conduit the whole run? Or just under the concrete part? xrated
That would probably depend on your local electrical codes and/or what is in effect in the location of the project. You certainly want to have conduit in all the areas that there is going to be concrete, just in case something happens to the wiring.....at a later date you can pull out the old wiring and replace it with new wiring. If it is "code" legal, I would probably use plastic conduit as opposed to rigid or even thinwall.

If you can put PVC pipes together, ie sprinkler system, etc, then you can do this  Looks trick too, especially in the rain or fog
brianmacza
I have a neigbour who has blue lamps on his driveway... looks awesome at night on the trees each side. Have been tempted to do it myself, but being the lazy bastard that I am...
TOXXIC
Wish I had thought of this when I poured the driveway down to my shop! Very nice looking.

Redd
Thanks for asking Todd. I'm sorry to say, we didnt put them in. I lost the battle, and ended up running wire for path lights instead. StPeteXX
I like Cooter Ebay had a very good selection of low voltage type lighting in the application you are looking at. I am considering the same thing when I have my new circular drive poured. Rich
