  1. I'll second that. The ZVM is a good chain. My last chain was a Regina. It only lasted 9K miles. Junk! My .02 cents.
  2. IMHO, I like the AV46 (rear) holds up well. I never liked the AV45 (front) cause it has tried to tuck on me several times. I now run an AV49 on the front and love it! IT STICKS!! I know it is wearing fast but, I am much more confident now. I have not tried the Pilot Roads on my XX but I have the Pilot Sports on my 954 and I don't really like them. Thinkin about Pirellis or maybe AV49/50's for the 954 just to compare. My .02cents
  3. Tom, The bars will clear from lock to lock. It's hard to tell if the clutch and break res. will clear with a stock shield. I recently purchased a Black Chrome Speedscreen for the XX and haven't put it on yet. The side wings on the new shield are less obtrusive in this area. My opinion, I think it would work with a "Speedscreen" shield. Tom, I'll tell ya what, if you decide to go the 954 route, I'll send ya the bars and if they don't work, you send em back. I quoted you a price. You can pay me when it's together. Fair enough? Later, Cal
  4. Tom, I took some pics and I must tell you. There are some clearance issues meaning, you won't get the same results that I have. Top view I have placed the pivot toward the back to lessen the reach to the bars. Turned to the stops, the pivot is not going to clear below the triple clamp. That means you would have to place the pivot in the front. The 954 bar would not give you the same results as I have gotten. They will clear placed in front of the tube but, you will not gain as much as I have for reach. Hope this helps. Shop around. I'm in no hurry to sell.
  5. FYI, The risers on the TBR bars for the XX are 2 3/4" and as you can see, the clutch and brake reserviour barely clear the stock windshield. The TBR bars for the 954 have the 3 1/4" risers. Should be close to what I have as a finished install under the triple clamps. Edit: it should be the thickness of the triple clamp lower than my bars since the extra 1/2 inch would be a wash in the relocate.
  6. This is not a very good photo. My camera is at work. I could get a better one for you later. I will investigate clearance issues tommorow night. I'm gettin ready for bed. Sittin here scratchin my nuts in my shorts. Later
  7. J Red, You can keep your centerstand. Two-Bros. offers a bracket to retain your centerstand. It bolts to your lower shock mount. I don't have a pic of the bracket. Sorry. One other note: The Akra pipe scapes easily. Raise your ride hieght. Shim your shock. I've got a Penske 8981 so raising it was easy. As you can see, I still have my centerstand.
  8. Hairbear, I'm real happy with the Two-Bros bars on the XX. I bought a used pair on E-bay for my 954 and decided the fukr wheelstands too damn easy with stock bars so I decided not to put them on 954 so, if you decide to try and put 954 forks on your XX then give me a shout and I'll make ya good deal on the Two-Bros bars to fit the 954 forks. As others have said, you will have to put them under the triple clamp. Here's a pic of the same bars on my XX.

Sean, I think thats a good idea to simplify brake bleeding. I think I'll buy some. Thanks
  10. My buddy Mike just got a diaphram from the Honda dealer in Corvallis, Oregon. Should'nt be a problem.
  11. Akrapovic doesn't offer a "stop" for the centerstand. Two-Bros.does. The Two-Bros. bracket uses the lower shock mount to anchor the bracket. I like my Akra pipe and kept my centerstand.
  12. I've always enjoyed the reading in the Garage. Makes the winter months more bearable. Food for thought. I have noticed a topic we never seem to discuss, Clutches. we don't seem to lose them, or they last forever? Maybe the linked brakes are keeping us from doing smoky burnouts? I have replaced many clutches on previous bikes. Probably do to burnouts. I have only done a couple on the XX. Maybe I'm just to old to be a good squid these days? I'm bored, Later, Cal
  13. Looking forward to it! Later, Cal
  14. Chris, I'm sure glad you got it!! I've been watching it, hoping you would win the bid. When ya gonna install it? Cal
  15. LOL, Carlos, by the "seat of the pants" I'm sure the advancer on my Kawasaki made at least 40 horsepower differance. 10 horsepower for every degree of advance! yuk-yuk
  16. I've thought about getting the 2 degree advancer for my XX. I put a 4 degree advancer on my previous bike (ZX-10) after the pipe and jet-kit. I never had the Kawasaki on a dyno but, it really helped in the mid-range. Had to use Premium fuel only. It didn't like regular. Anyone got one on their XX? my .02 cents, Cal
  17. Carlos, The Sink is real cool. I like the integrated towel rack also. Looks like the saw paid off with the precision cuts on the corner angles and such. Nice and clean, smooth fit! Cal
  18. Carlos, Nice job. The stone work tile looks real cool. What triggers the toilet lid closure? A flush? Maybe thats what I should do to keep Dee from bitchen about puttin the lid down. Later, Cal
  19. Nice table saw. I think my saw is the same as your old "piece of crap" Later, Cal
  20. Over at the Fireblades.org site, they are discussing the use of a 3M product to remove clearcoat scratches. Read the 7th post. http://www.fireblades.org/cgi-bin/ikonboar...80879entry80879 Anyone ever use this product? Cal
  21. Yeah, I have them on my 98XX. I had to have brake lines made and I also had to re-route the "hard" clutch line alongside the frame to gain the length needed. The 98 Bird has a choke cable which does create some challenges when positioning the bars. If you've got FI, you will have more latitude than I. Personally I don't think their the best lookin bars avaliable but thats not the reason I bought them. I absolutely love em! I can ride it all day with no complaints. Nice piece of CNC work. Kinda spendy though. I paid 335 dollars. FYI: Two-Bros. can be a real pain in the ass if you ever need to return anything. Make sure they get it right the first time!! They sent me the wrong jet-kit and it took forever to get any fukin credit to my Visa!!!. Sorry I'm still pissed!! Cal
  22. Welcome Sunline. Were are you in western Washington? Stay tuned to Northwest Rides in the XX Meetings Section. Come join us on a ride. Cal
  23. Looks interesting. You should use duct tape cause you would just have it "Wide F**kin Open " anyway!!. LOL, Cal
