  1. how many you got left? I think I am starting to hear mine
  2. Shawn at www.tricktape.com sent me a clear tank protector for my bike. I like it alot better than the Pro Grip one. They are only a few bucks.
  3. I would suggest you go back and cover the 700 miles again and look for it J/K They are there to ensure a good tight fit between the can and mid-pipe. This will not effect your exhaust in anyway. I am sure like mentioned above you can probably call the manufactor of your pipes and get some new ones. The ones on my Leo Vince pipes must be made out of some good stuff. You gotta be a gorilla to pull back the springs
  4. I was told to do it on my D&D. Said it would make it alittle quiet. Well it didn't help, and also from what little bit of condensation that gets into your exhaust when your bike cools down I can only assume that it won't take long for it too start rusting and coming apart. I would just go buy some regular fiberglass repacking and stick with it.
  5. I have roughly a 140 hp between my legs when sitting on my XX.. I have done a burnout once or twice  now just how do you destroy your clutch applying 140 hp to the footprint of your tire say a 3" x 3" area :???: Your not sitting on your bike trying to light up the tires are you? :?:

    Huggers

    http://www.n-w-s.com/honda/cbr1100xx.html Silver Ghost Hugger
  7. They look sharp  I kinda like my Leo Vince name plate after I rivited it on. But also had the stickers as a option also. Buddy of mine did the same as you and left them plain. Kinda makes the bike look like it has stock exhaust if you didn't know any better  I love my leo's nice throaty sound. Best money I have spent on my bird so far.
  8. I plan on it, suppose to be like 55 here tomorrow, and I get the joy of working all day long
  9. Ok, got home and put the wheel back on. Tighened everything back to the proper ft lbs. I guess that inch difference where he placed the weight made all the difference. My bike is back to normal Just wanna thank everyone for their help
  10. This shop does, and this is the 2nd damn time also.. I am so tired of them, ready to pull my hair out. They always screw up something, but everyone else says they get good service. I order sprockets and they forget to order them, I orders brakes and they get the wrong ones. Maybe they just don't like me cause I wear a Honda Woody racing hat in there, and they are mostly Kawi's  I don't have any luggage on my bike other than myself  I got the digital gauge at home, and also have a regular guage I keep in my tool kit just in case I ever need while on a ride. I will let you guys know in a couple hours how my front wheel is after I get home and put it back on.
  11. Ok, bearings are fine had plenty of time to waste since I had the wife take my wheel back to the shop today for it to be rebalanced. He added the same amount of weight to my wheel but placed it like a inch different on the rim. After telling my wife to not let them loose my wheel spacers.... guess what? I get home, and yep sure enough they took them off and forgot them  (2nd time) first time I caught it before I left the shop. So my bike sits again another night in peices, Thanks for the tip XXratedrc51, I will have to look for a dial guage. The digital one only shows increments of .5 psi anyways. What kinda box are you talking about.. I am completely lost, maybe its called something different around here? Dave

    190 mph

 now that is moving, Did you bike take off like in Biker Boys when they hit there juice? Dave
  13. Maybe cause he rides a Honda he is sure he will only need to do any wrench turning at home. Look at it this way, if you take it off then it will only knock you down 1 notch to be in the same situation as probably 90% of the other bikes on the road. Not every bike, has the nice option of having a center stand. Another reason I love my bird, they try to make things so easy for the rider
  14. I had my bike high side on me once going into a right hander. I was lucky and stayed on the bike when she tried to buck me off. I managed to land somewhat back on the bike, landing on the rear brake pedal, and missing the left footpeg. I slid across the corner, and onto the side of the road. I was thankful for still be sitting upright after what just happened seconds before. I developed a right turn phobea after that. I have worked on it for 2 yrs myself. I still don't push rights as hard as a left hander but the only thing helped me was a friends advise, (he is a MSF instructor) He told me to ride a familar road, and work on my right handers. instead of seeing a mental image of me high siding again, think of you going thru the corner. I have done this and improved my problem.. I enjoy it so much I have visited Deals Gap, and prefer to stay in the mountains riding the corners
  15. Well I checked the tire last night with a redneck method seeing if the tire is mounted wrong. I placed a can next to my front tire that was elevated off the ground and spun the wheel. I checked both sides of the tire and also the foot print to see if it was out of round. With the can sitting next to the tire sitting away about the thickness of a hair off a flys ass and the tire never touched it. So I yanked my wheel off took off my weight and letting the wife take it today to be rebalanced... So after alittle test ride this evening I will see if I need to call Avon..
