tweety Posted April 20, 2004 Share Posted April 20, 2004 So during my recent electrical problem I bought a new battery, but it turns out the old one works fine after all. It was a few years old though (stock on a '99), and based on Carlos' advice one should just replace it anyway for reliability's sake. Question is, what now? It's perfectly good, so seems like a waste to dispose of it. It might be nice to have it around to help debug any future electrical problems. Perhaps: A) store on a shelf somewhere. store on a shelf somewhere plugged into battery tender. C) strap to bike and chuck it at the next soccer mom that cuts me off. D) Hookers. I keep a "good" 12v battery in the shop for troubleshooting electrical gremlins... and an old "Diehard" auto battery for "jump starts"... periodic trickle chargers on both.
