SoloTSi97 Posted April 10, 2014 Share Posted April 10, 2014 I'm waiting for the estimate to come back on my wrecked 2002 XX, but based on my informal photos/parts lookup, it's totaled. There are some parts I'd like to recover off of it before the insurance company carts it off. I've been told by the insurance company that, in the event that it's totaled, I can replace any aftermarket parts I want to recover with stock parts before they cart it off. The main thing I'd like to recover, since it wasn't damaged and I intend to buy another XX, is my seat. Anyone have a stock seat you're looking to get rid of cheap? I don't even care what it looks like, as it's going with the bike to the junkyard (or wherever) ... I'm not going to deal with buying back a salvage, but I want my seat! The bike shop says they'll get the estimate done this week or next, so I'd say I have that long plus at least a few days. I doubt it will be scrutinized too closely, but the insurance company is expecting that I'm replacing the aftermarket stuff with the stock stuff I replaced.
