TOXXIC
Just curious to learn if the Yamaha V Max has a CCT or not? I hear a very loud clicking at idle and off idle. Maybe it needs a valve adjustment? This is what I get for not buying another Honda.
Redbird
Valves are shims and buckets and not too prone to going out of ajustment. Don't know about the cam chain other than mine was never a problem. Exhaust leak? Mine did that before I installed a 4-1 and replaced the gaskets. Loudish ticking or clicking type noise that blended in with the rest of the motor noise when you wound it up a bit.
TOXXIC
I'm also thinking an exhaust leak as I hear the clicking near the right rear cylinder, near the head pipe.
Pete in PA
It's a V-4, it has 2 CCT"S. I've become a fan of inline 4's now. Only 1/2 the parts as v-4's. Only 2 cams, not 4 Only 1 cam chain. not 2 Only 1 valve cover, not 2 My V65 Sabre was VERY labor intensive to do the valves.
