You're both full of it , :icon_snooty: never heard of any board members coming here, except for Wario who I got the bike from, he delivered right to me ! The station in the pic is at 100 Old Fort Rd. Just got promoted to Lieutenant a couple of months ago so I'm back at HQ on America's Cup Ave. Let me know whenever anyone is in town . I'll gladly provide parking for ya!

Listen sonny ( :icon_biggrin: ), the first time I went to Newport, I missed the 11:00 PM ferry and had to drive up to Providence and back down to Newport. I was in an inflatable when they hoisted the Australian boat up for everyone to see the keel after winning the America's cup and I was staying at Dock 1, Slip 1 on a sailboat at the Treadway. We had the managers card and phone number from the Chart House next door in case we got thirsty after hours. Unfortunately, I can't remember much else of the 40+ years I've been going there......except (John Cafferty and) the Beaver Brown Band playing on First Beach. It's starting to come back to me now...lol

Love that town but I haven't been up there lately...might have to change that and take you up on your offer...

Congrats on the promotion, btw.

Merry Christmas to you too, Hank.

Hank, This place IS too much fun. My Dad had a 46' Ocean right behind the Treadway when those cup races were going on !! We would stay there and get lobsters steamed from Aquidneck Lobster Co delivered right to the 6 boats we had backed up to the main pier. I still come to town every Thursday night on a friends 36' ChrisCraft Corsair end up with the same foggy memory problem .... :icon_evilgrin: Merry Christmas to you both :icon_biggrin:

If I remember correctly, Aquidneck Lobster Co. was on Barristers Wharf, just past the Black Pearl and the Clark Cook House.

Bartender with the nickname of 5 O worked at CCH for many years...a great guy.

The upstairs was called the Candy Store and the Moorings was right behind the Pearl and the CH.

Man, I miss that place...Thursday nites, huh... :icon_evilgrin:

Where do you live, town wise?

I have friends scattered all over the island, up to and including Common Fence Point.

You're correct regarding the lobster company location and all those places are still there. Aquidneck now has a bar/restaurant IN the place !! My cousin runs the lobster company itself. I'm not a local Newporter, originally from Cranston (the home of the most recent Miss Universe ) about 20 miles north. I live 25 miles west in rural Exeter now.

OMG, I'm drooling. That lobster place at the end of the dock has the best fried fish, and the Pearl has some of the best fish I've ever had, and I'm quite picky.

Shameless bump

No need for a shameless bump - that bike would make any of these pansies piss their pants... :icon_evilgrin:

Congrats Lieutenant! I hope to come out your way again next year - I'll be sure to drop in!

That fucking bike gives me a hard on every time I see it... Folks - you wont find a more sorted out Z1K - anywhere.

Here's what it sounds like... ya, it was warmed up when I was rapping it (look at the temp), and the noise in the background is one of my kids running the snowthrower.

I can personally attest that it WILL DO 80mph roll-on wheelies in 2nd and 3rd. I got the map from a wizard in SoCal, and had the injectors done by the same moke. Dialed in is such an understatement on this thing. I wish I had the cash to own it a third time.

Thanks Mike, being in charge is a whole 'nother world, not being allowed to drive apparatus anymore is NOT fun!! Scary on the passenger side actually. :icon_sick: maybe your input will get someone interested. If you're coming through New England be sure to give me a little notice so I can get some time off to do some of your northeast loop.

Has the bike ever been dynoed and if so, could you post a chart?

I never had it dyno'd, but based on the recipe card and the 3rd gear roll-on wheelies I'd put it in the 120-130 rwhp range. I'd be stunned if it was less. And, it's way down on weight from a stock bike too. The Ti exhaust weights 6lb including the can.

The bike rocks. Id bet my sister on the fact that you'd be more than pleased, and our friend Paul is a stand-up guy too.
