Just curious- how did you end up repairing the damage for the long term? That's the weak point on all XX huggers, my plastic one broke at the same place. Instead of the fiberglass drywall, you might want to try to locate some heavier weight fiberglass cloth. Smaller quantities can sometimes be found at local model airplane hobby shops, or on Ebay.
