wantxx
I installed an audiovox cruise last winter following the instructions I found hera. Last summer it wouldn't do anything, so this past winter I checked and verified I had everything set correctly. After fixing 2 thing not correct i got the cruise to function. I have a vacuum canister in the system. When I tested it with the bike on the center stand it would engage and pull the throttle. Now that I have had it on the street when I engage the cruise it will pull on the throttle then stop holding immediatly. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong with it. I have tried riding and holding the accel button for a few seconds to see if it will pickup but nothing happens. Thanks :icon_think:
JuXXtin
Leak in your external canister system perhaps? Try bypassing it and do your test runs above 5k-rpm. The audiovox alone will get enough juice to hold above ~5k.
Iceman_40
Does it still work while on the center stand?
Hobicus
So it engages, but then quickly disengages. Did you set the dip switches so that it knows you have a high horsepower engine?? I've found that the CC is useless at low speeds in high gear. It will disengage if it senses that there's too fast of a change in RPM, assuming you've pulled in the clutch or changed gears. Also, make sure you have a check valve installed with your vacuum canister. Not as big of an issue on carbed bikes, but on EFI it will make the bike a bit wonky on and off the throttle.
