matthend Posted October 16, 2008 Share Posted October 16, 2008 I bought an integrated tail light for my bird (not a clear alternatives) It seems really nice but the connector doesnt match my factory harness. matthend Posted April 5, 2010 Author Share Posted April 5, 2010 I had this problem with my LED tail light. The 4 pin block is the one fitted to the Honda Hornet. All you need to do is remove the pins from the 4 pin block with a micro screwdriver. ( there is a tiny prong on the side of the pins that needs pushing in ) Take the old three pin block off your OEM tail light and insert the pins from the LED light in to the old OEM block. The extra wire is just an earth wire and can be spliced. Then connect the indicator wires as normal. That is the advice that I got on cbrxx and it worked for me. Perky Posted April 5, 2010 Share Posted April 5, 2010 Thanks for all the replies. But unfortunately, the solution was simpler than I had imagined. I called CA today and they explained the connectors coming off of the tail light aren't really connectors. They are bulb replacement connectors. So, I don't have to do any splicing at all. I do however have to pull the bulb sockets off of the old tail light and connect the bulb replacement connectors to them and then plug the connector from the bike into the old connectors. It sure would have been nice if CA would have just included a little note in the box.
