Jaygermeister
Santa brought me a GPS and was wondering what size arms are being used for the ram system. My Magellan is about the size of a tom tom or Garmin. Pics would help too. Thanks ............. and yes I did a search smart ass.
airborneXX
It's a personal preference thing. Hold the device where you want it mounted and take a measurement. I have a short holding the XM in the center and a regular holding the GPS at the clutch master cylinder. Keep in mind if you use a tank bag and have the GPS mounted in the center you'll want it higher than the tank bag
TexasDawg
I used a standard-sized arm with a Lowrance 500 on mine attached to the top tripletree,,,
Squareman357
Both the Garmin 2730 and the Valentine 1 were mounted using the standard which is 3" length, which, due to the mounting location on the bars, put both far enough above my tank bag to make me happy. The short is a 1.5" and the long is a 5". As someone else said, hold it where you want it and take a rough measurement and buy the arm length that is close to that. Jaygermeister
Thanks guys, . I do use a tank bag so I’m leaning towards the standard length off the clutch mount.
