Flitemdic
When you put new forks on the 'bird, the manual doesn't say anything about lining them up except up and down. Does anyone know if there is an actual "alignment" process to go through? I lined them up as good as possible with a level and measurements, but I'd hate to have wobble later because the angle of one fork was slightly off left and right from the other. Help! Thanks. Redbird
Up and down is all that matters at that point. As long as the axle slides in without binding (as it will, assuming nothing is bent and the forks are the same distance above the top tree) then all is well. The axle and wheel are what align the sliders. Just be sure to to do the recommended check of clearance between the caliper mount and brake disc when you're all done. If for some reason something was off when you were done, you'd find out then.
