SoCalBird
Hi I have been running avon azero's front and read for a long time now and like them. I holed the front and its about time to be replaced anywyas. The local shop I deal with cant get them for 10 days. I was wondering what other front tire would be safe to use along with the avon in the rear. The rear has lots of life left so I would like to just do the front but dont want to compromise safty. airborneXX
How about the new Avon Storm? Link to your new front tire
SoCalBird
How about the new Avon Storm? Link to your new front tire What other brands would work well with the rear? I would rather get on slapped on so I can ride over the weekend hehe Im not sure if its a bad thing to like run a perelli in the front and a avon in the back ? or as long as they have the same speedratings they should work ok together ? rideonXX
Pirelli Diablo or Metzler M1 or Pilot Power. If in the Ventura area----Cal Coast Motorsports is the place to buy. Happy trails kel
airborneXX
It's okay to go with a stickier tire in the front. Example: I run a Metzeler M1 Front and Z6 rear. The opposite could prove troublesome. Of course tires manufacturers say you should always run matched tires, and that's what you should always do If this were my bike I would... well I would dig through my used tire pile and slap on the best looking one. XXTC
Hell Dood - Just order a new Storm front and have it in two days - easy deal/ live in the sticks in Michigan and have had them deliver tires in three days!! Either that or order a Pirelli front and change to the Diablo when your rear wears out. I would definitely recommend the Diablo's - just the straught Diablos - grreat grip and decnt mileage!!!
