Canadian Bird
I just switched from Amsoil to Motul Semi Synthetic. I did this b/c on the Brit site it is suggested Honda has put out a bulletin stating not to run full Synthetic in the Bird. I moved from Honda oil to Castro Semi to Amsoil full synthetic and back to Motul Semi. I really liked Amsoil, bike ran cooler, and had no issues except for the price. Bought it by the case. I just rode 500 kms and I think my Bird is running 2-3 degrees Celcius hotter. (I can be as anal as any board member). Just how synthetic is Semi synthetic?? Knowing full well how contencious "oil" is, I still think Amsoil is an excellent product. Do you avoid Synthetic oil b/c of a Honda suggestion to avoid it in the Bird? I give it another few 1,000 kms but I'm tempted to return to Amsoil. WHAT SAY YOU'ALL?
pug
Just use ester based oils. e.g. Motul 300V , Silkolene Pro4 (which i didn't like at all) or the Amsoil you were already using.
