jambie Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 My wife wants to ride on the XX, but would REALLY like a backrest like the Sargent model I had on my VFR. Sargent doesn't make one anymore, and I don't really want to spend the bucks for a Corbin. The SW Motech rear rack looks nice, and I guess I could go that route with a GIVI top case with a backrest. I just don't like the looks of the topcase-equipped XX. Has anyone here with mechanical engineering skills looked into creating some sort of backrest that mounts directly to an SW Motech rack? I'd be willing to pay a good amount for a well-engineered mount, and I'm guessing others might as well. Also, If I do have to go the GIVI route, which of their top cases is fairly smallish, fitting better on the back of a sportbike, and still has a backrest option?
