Flitemdic
Anybody have any idea if using loctite on the disc bolts and cush drive nuts is acceptable? Not on the discs themselves, just the bolts that attach them to the rims.
Byrdman
I believe they have Loctite installed from the factory. Go for it!
beondwacko
Duane, Most bike do have Locktite or some derivitive of thread lock on the rotor bolt threads. I'd suggest you go with a removable varierty. Also, use a wire wheel to clean the old stuff out of the threads on the bolts. What are you up to over there?

redxxrdr
+1 on the blue stuff. Prep the bolt and threaded area by cleaning the old loctite out. Alcohol or a decent carb cleaner works well. The parts need to be clean to let the loctite work. Ever have a screw that won't come out? If there is loctite, a little heat from a propane torch will break it loose. Just heat the head of the bolt until it is hot. Not red hot, just hot to the touch. This will make red loctite break loose. MUCH better than stripping the bolt.
