N1K
I bought a new GE dishwasher and installed in 2003 when I gutted and remodeled my kitchen. Bought the cheaper kind. $200 or less I think it was. Fricken thing decides to break on me last night (wouldn't drain/pump out old water) Had to rush to Home Depot and do an emergency Dishwasher transplant. I had been thinking about getting a stainless steel one for a while to match the other S.S. appliances. Got a new maytag SS one. I called the warranty number on the GE one and it only has a one year warranty. Fuck.. dishwashers should last more then 2 years? Piece of shit. Hopefully I'll have better luck with the Maytag, BUT... If anyone needs parts for a GE dishwasher (I'll find themodel tonight) Let me know I'll ship it to ya. wingedflight
I work for GE aircraft engines. They are under investigation by the DOD for shipping bad parts for their turbine engines. try calling the repair man at 30000ft. Lucky it was only your dishwasher. Edward
Just got my kitchen together. For a Dishwasher, I went with Siemens. Very nice, 3year warranty on parts.
