jimmystartup
Is it necessary or normal to replace the clutch springs as a matter or maintenance? If so does anyone know if there is a kit or do I need to just go out and buy six new springs? What about aftermarket clutch parts? Anything to avoid? mickcbr1100
If you're not having clutch problems then don't bother even looking. The plates and springs seem to last forever. Saying that I replaced mine with EBC uprated springs when I was trying to sort out a problem. Turned out I didn't need them as it was a pushrod problem but I'd bought them so I fitted them. Done a few thousand miles since then and they're fine don't notice any extra pressure required on the lever, lot cheaper than OE.
Northman
I bought a set of stiffer springs from Orient Express, but only as insurance for my new motor. Wasn't sure if the stockers could handle the hp, so I opted for the stiffer ones.
