  1. I am selling a left lower from a 2000 Titanium colored Bird and a right lower from a 1997 Black colored Bird. Both lowers have all of their labs in place and no cracks. The titanium left lower has a number of very light road debris specks and a slight scratch on the underneath (probably from loading on a trailer) which you can't see unless you lay on your back and look underneath the bike. This piece would look fine as a direct replacement. The black right lower has a number of light surface scratches and two minor knicks in it. It also has a scratch on the bottom from loading on a trailer. Both pieces do not include any hardware. I have an extra plastic heat shield for the right side that I will throw in. The right lower is a bolt on piece that you would probably want to sand and repaint. $100 shipped for the right lower and $120shipped for the left lower. Included shipping is to continental US only. Selling because I decided to go silver and I went with factory news instead of painting these pieces. Black lower looks like it has a line through the middle but it is just a reflection.See pics and PM me for more pics or questions. Thanks for the space!

  2. According to the Honda microfiche, The 01-03 ecu's have the same part number: 38770-MAT-A21 or 38770-MAT-L21

I am guessing that the second number is for the California model, but not sure. The ecu on EBAY is for a 99-00 XX. but I appreciate everyone helping out. My ECU was damaged when I bought the wrecked bike and it is the last piece I need to get my Bird on the road. I am not going to pay $550 for it though! :icon_snooty: That is the cheapest I have found one for.

  3. I have a left side 2000 Titanium lower, only had about 4k miles on the bike when I removed it as I wrecked on the other side. Small minor rock chips that would be normal but otherwise good condition. The foam is still there but the black heat shield on the back was removed for my replacement plastics I had bought for the bike. I can get pics tomorrow once its light out. 100 obo plus shipping

Also found a brand new still in packaging speed link for the rear end for drag racing, adjust from stock high to slammed in minutes. 100 obo plus shipping

And last a Snitz Racing Front strap in red, dirty but very usable. Ill throw it in with the rear link.

I dont have my blackbird anymore so these have no use to me.

Im located in Port Richey FL.

I'll take the left lower! Sent PM!

  4. I recently purchased and installed a set of plugs for my 03' XX at a local Advance Auto. I read somewhere that the plugs are NGK CR9EHIX-9, but I have since discovered that these are the plugs for the 97-2000 models and the correct plug for 01-03 is NGK IMR9C-9H. Do you guys think that it will make any difference, or should I take them out and get the correct set. They are both iridium plugs and the both have the same thread size and depth...

    Thanks for any advice-

  5. My right lower suffered a gravel tipover and was replaced, resulting in the rashed one being for sale. It would make a good DIY project. No cracks and all tabs are there. The front fender has scuffs on it, again no cracks or such. Both are silver of course.

I will try some pics if anyone has an interest and wants to make any offers.

    Thanks.

    Gene

Gene, You don't still have this right lower do you?

    Thanks,Steve

  6. I am currently running that same one, even bought from that same seller.

Why arent you going to use it ?

I am currently hunting for a used oem version.

I decided that for the cost of finishing the fiberglass and getting a nice coat of paint on it, that it would be just about as cost effective to buy a new OEM upper. It would probably be worth keeping if I had any skill with fiberglass or paint, but I am gifted in the mechanical department, not so much in the paint/ body work department. Any suggestions? Why are you looking for a used OEM upper?

  7. I am selling a brand new fiberglass upper cowl/ fairing. I just purchased it off ebay. The following is the ebay address for this fairing. This is the exact auction I won:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...N:IT&ih=012

I paid $213 shipped for this fairing as you can see. I have decided to sell it instead of returning it and eating shipping cost and 20% restock fee. I will sell for $180 shipped to cont. US. Feel free to make reasonable offers. Once again, This fairing is brand new and unused/ uninstalled.

  8. First of all, let me say I'm soon to be a CRB 1100xx owner :icon_thumbsup: . I'm picking up a fix-r-upper on Wednesday and I'm very excited. It will be quite awhile before she is street ready, but I'm stoked just the same. Now, with that said, one of the major parts damaged on the bike is the exhaust system. The guy scrapped the old stock system. What does everyone recommend as far as aftermarket, or return it to stock? I was thinking about a full Yoshi system, but I don't want to lose driveability in the low to mid-range. Anyone have any experience with any full race systems? Which brands do you all suggest?
