  1. My Honda mower is doing the exact same thing. I need to get in there and work on it...
  2. Damn you guys for talking about this here. That windscreen is beautiful, but jeezus. The price... Like the rear fender. Anyone know how well it compares to the Carbotech? - J.
  3. Just looking to get the most that I can without sending it out or working on it all the time. I haven't had any exp. with the dealers in KC. KC's a few hours away (I know, lousy excuse...) - J.
  4. I've looked at most of the threads about suspension, and have come up with the following: Mine is a 1997 with 25 on the clock. Ohlins rear shock, 1.05kg springs in the front with 5w or 7.5w oil. I would like to have Dan Kyle rework the forks, but I'm not prepared to live with the downtime (should have been thinking about this months ago...) and I could save the money for a bit. I fully intend to have him work them over this next winter, but I'm trying to get the most benefit out of them for now. Does this sound like a decent plan? - J.

    Underheating

Awesome. Thanks, Joe. Bonus question: Does the bike have a thermostat? (I see the switch for the fans, but I mean the typical engine thermostat...)

    Underheating

This AM, I rode 30 miles in ~38°F weather at 60-80 indicated. Needle stayed on C, off the post, but still not in the "normal" range on the gauge. Stopped for a few minutes to put some heat back into my hands, and it rose to the very bottom of "normal", when I left, didn't take too long to get back down where it was before. Is this normal? - J.
  7. Progressive can be a handful, be firm with them. Be assertive that it was their insured who damaged your property. If what they want to do, or what they say they will/can do is not to your satisfaction, then tell them "no." In my experience, they can be very smug and appear all-knowing, but they are definitely out for their own interests (keeping costs down) and not yours. Good luck. - J.
  8. My Two Brothers slip-ons have these springs on them, and they are slack on one side, although not enough to allow them to fall off. I would imagine TBR would sell or give you a set, or maybe your local dealer could hook you up. The springs hold the slip joint from the polished forward pipe to the rear can assembly. - J.
