  1. Thanks, but now that I've seen the bigger picture, I think it's too tall.
  2. If the mount is MonoKey and you would be interested in breaking up the set, I'm interested in the top box, if the price is right.
  3. One kilogram is approximately 2.2046 lbs. So, an 11.5 kilogram can would be 11.5 * 2.2046 = 25.3529 lbs. Having just packed up my garage for a move, which included putting the stock cans in boxes, I can believe that each weighed 25 lbs, if not more.
  4. There's a set on ebay for only $50. If you are still looking, better snap them up, as I don't imagine they'll last long: Gen-Mar Risers
  5. Just found this today: Chain/Sprocket Link If they are good quality, this seems like a very good deal.
  6. Only in my head, and thats cloudy right now! BUMP! Has your head cleared any yet? Do you have any new updates on the status of this project? Still very interested when you get around to the brackets.
  7. I find that removing the fender and the right caliper is all that's needed to get the wheel off. You can finagle the wheel out of and back into the left caliper fairly easily if the right caliper is off. I put the front up on the PitBull stand, which makes for a very stable working environment.
  8. Very cool! I'll be interested in seeing the end result.
  9. Good question: will these not work with the Givi Wing Rack? I have that mounted on mine.
  10. I wouldn't mind having those, but it appears you have to remove the passenger pegs; I don't think my wife would find that amusing or comfortable.
  11. My RS3s are secured with rivets, as well.
  12. Did you check ebay? ECMs show up from time to time.
  13. This is my method of cleaning the chain, as well. Works very well.
  14. That's kind of weird; my OEM battery strap doesn't look remotely like either or those...
  15. My brother tried three times to get a good, working R/R from ElectroSport; all three of them were DOA. He finally gave up, got an OEM unit, and has never had a problem since.
  16. I have one off a post-2000 'bird that I purchased from Northman. I never put it on my bike, as it's the same as what I have (a miscommunication between us made me think it was a Double Bubble). If you are interested, I'll let you have it for what I paid for it, which I think was $40, shipped. I'm out of town until 3/10, so it will be a while before I can ship it out.
  17. Man, that's an ugly color scheme. But, it will be a good deal for someone. Like exskibum, can't have it here in the Republik of Kalifornia with only 44 miles unless it's a CA spec bike.
  18. The rears are totally different but I may try something in the future. If you do, you'll have another customer in me. I'd really, really, like to find a way to get my wife some more leg room, other than replacing the 'bird with something more suited to two up comfortable touring, that is...
  19. +1. I just buy the Honda Pre-mix; that way, I don't worry about it.
  20. What an odd place to store your tire pressure gauge! Isn't that kind of hard to get to when you need it?

    Brake Noise

I get a little whining noise when moving at very slow speeds, i.e. under 10 MPH, with my EBC HH pads, with the brakes not applied; once I apply them, I don't hear it anymore. I don't hear anything once I'm moving faster than that and I don't hear any bad sounds when braking. They've been on for about 1500 miles, so I assume they are bedded by now and the little bit of noise is just the way it is on my bike. The wheel doesn't drag, so I don't worry about it.
  22. I just noticed a set of Helibars for the XX on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=140200034072 Not mine...
  23. There's a guy parting out a '97 on ebay; search there.
