  1. I'd prefer an FI but this guy has a '97 with 1800 orig miles and has done oil changes regularly and bike looks like it came off the showroom floor. He said he's been takes it out here and there so it never sits for too long a period and said he takes meticulous care of all his bikes. He wants $4500 for it....a practically new XX for that price isn't bad.
  2. Hey it was 2800 miles....that's ok. The XX will do fine for a toy though.
  3. I'm looking at a nice '97 this weekend. I'd prefer an FI but this deal might be too good to pass up. Besides obviously taking longer to warm up, any other noticeable differences/complaints on the '97's? Is power delivery still real smooth?
  4. I think Genmars are really just cosmetic. I have VFR bars that I have raised pretty high above the fork mounts. The pinch bolts themselves are not above the fork mounts but the bars are up there. PM me and I can send you a pic as well. I just check them periodically to make sure they're tight.
  5. I'm in Mclean, VA......a few hours from Richmond I think...bu thanks for the offer. Just have to pay attention to the forecasts.....if we get hit w/ the nasty winter like last year.....will most likely be removing the battreee! Please....no more bleeezzzards!
  6. Plan on riding thru the winter but we do get snow here in VA here and there and some colds spells to the point where it is possible that I could go up to 1 month without riding at all......but hopefully not. I really don't want to go thru the whole storage route of removing the battery, plugs..etc. If I know I'm not gonna be on it for a month at worst....can I still go out and uncover the bike, start it up once a week and let it run for 5 minutes or so? Or does that do nothing as far as keeping the battery charged? I keep the bike covered outside. Thanks, Barry
  7. Thanks....can I get a link to the VFR bars so I can order them?
  8. The Heli's say the following: 1 5/8" Taller 1" Rearward 1 1/2" Wider (27") Over 3oz lighter than stk Mirror Black Powder Coat or Silver Powder Coat Direct Replacement Do the VFR's come as tall? I couldn't find out where to go on Ronayers.com to see them. I'm looking for something that obviously isn't as hunched over. The higher the better for me. Thanks, BarryG
