HELP!
in The Garage

Good luck Nik !

Here is the link to a Japanese XX rider who installed the 954 taillight in the XX.

Cool photos and text, which you can "roughly" translate here...

Go nuts !

I have the "heavy" one and even though it costs a lot, it looks like MILION bucks. We all know it's all about the looks !!!
Funktion ? Phew ! Who cares about the function !
Seriously though, NEP is eassy to use, but the Throttlemeister is not to bad either.
cheers,
-
Yeah, so ?

Just to be clear and before you spend money..... this seams to keep coming back....
The 1157 bulbs as taillight work on 97/98 US model only. If you have the FI model, these bulbs won't work......
Use the 7443 instead.

Pete, I talked to a designer at Signal Dynamics. He said the same thing. Use the red LED's with red lenses. Something about the lens braking the light......

Before mounting, remove the bar code.
I know of a few instances where the tire did not seal around it.
Result, yes a flat tire.
I mounted two or three sets of the Pilot Road and haven't had a problem yet......
Cheers,
-
My tires are in.... 2104 on the front and 2204 on the rear, so they are roughly 8 months old.
Cheers,
-
You are guessing right. The bar code indicates the light spot....
When you put the tire on, the bar code is hidden by the rim.

I just ordered new Pilot Roads.
From Dennis Kirk this time.
You can give them any advertised price and they beat it by a $1...
Since the South West Tires doesn't charge for shipping of 2 tires, the totall came to $225.90 to my door.
DK is closer to me than SW......

Here is the number to OCC ( 1-888-OCC-BIKE (622-2453) )......
They will build the exhaust for you !
Eric is right on the bender. My "bro-in-law" bought it and it sucks ass with thin wall pipes as the exhausts are........
I'd visit a muffler shop as mentionned above.
Good luck !

Can't find the "older" post on this, but here is an idea....
Not sure if this one would work with the XX though...

Also from Cycle Gadgets.....

Tim,all....
$40 is not that much !
I spent few minutes at the Cycle Gadgets at the show today. They have mounts at $60 and $70 ! :???: .....

C'omon man, how much riding can you do these days in MA ?
Be glad HONDA will fix it...
Do you have the leak ?
Does anyone have this leak ?
Cheers,

Check tire press. brakes dragging, get a new air filter.
... and maybe new spark plugs....
Cheers,
-
Don't lie !
Other than Andy, you have no friends !
People here just lust for you, but that's it ........
Reality check !
Cheers,

I've seen the same recall for the '03 ST 1300 - some of them.......
Cheers,

Or you could buy from Joe for $50, the same one that Jaws sells.......
(if he has some).......
Cheers,

These seem to fit many bikes....

The glowing FI may indicate a bad ground or a short in the harness.
Check the grounds to the frame.
Does it change when you flip the high beam switch or t.signals ?
Cheers,
-
I think OCC makes the best pipes. You should contact them......
Cheers,
P.S.
Oh yeah, I think this looks great on the red XX.....
And so does this....
(Micron pipes....)
-
I think Joe's black XX is the leader.... ~ 120K.
Right Joe ?
I'm past 70.5K ('99)........
I think it's time to change oil........
Cheers,
-
Cool ! Can you make more of them ?

I've been runing the EBC HH pads and I think they were an improvement, plus I like that "wooosh" sound they generate !
Has anyone received their GB kit yet ? Man, I'm getting excited !!!
Any updates ?
I rode my bike through salt and snow and you can imagine how all the hardware looks now. Can't wait to put the new kit on !
Is it the time yet ?!
