  1. Correction.

The x11 shoulder is so small that a washer is going to be nothing left, and hard to make. That is what I was trying to say. The (instead of he) others you could make the washer.

But, the force on the wire of the spring is what is gouging the surface that the screw is supposed to contact. It makes the screw not turn, because of the gouge. This is also a pivoting point. This causes everything to chatter, the threads, the sleeve, the spring, the barrel, and the pin holding the end. I see the pin has opened the hole side to side, not in line with the force. Taking the pivot point out by cutting the slot for the wire to be below the surface transfers the load to the screw ledge and lines everything else in the direction of force. Then the screw threads align all the way down, the end forces against the screw and the pen that holds it in has no load on it.

I am wondering if the most of the noise might not be coming from the rattle of the cct.

The pictures of the old cct inside of the body that the spring was marking sure did not come out at all. It is a focus thing. Going to have to come up with a way to show that. Gotta be a lot of noise from that as it was really marked enough to feel it.

Thanks, Hobi, will give me some more to shoot better. Going to have to set the tripod and use the timer to get my movements out of the pictures, and some lighting.

It is such a simple mod, and really requires no skill, but, I will be glad to do it for anybody that wants to have it done.

Got an old one, send it and I will.

I really think that is all there is to it.

You got the Mrs. to type that, didn't you? :icon_biggrin:

  2. I tried the bmw grips they were ok recently went with kuryakan iso grips which I have on my HD and goldwing.

If Kuryakyn would sell a set before they were chromed, I'd be all over that. They're by far the most comfortable grips I've ever used.

  3. When you say "trade," it'd be nice to have an idea of what you're open to trade for. I can get you two large sack of crabgrass, but I suspect that's not going to be something you can use. :icon_wink:

You stupid cunt, he wants to trade his '97 ST for an XX because he misses his '97 XX. How did you not figure this out?

  4. Yes and no.... :icon_rolleyes: I used a red flavored, hi-pressure grease, but not moly. Was this possibly an "oops, my bad" moment?

Molybdenum is best. What did they look like? The splines are where all of the Valkyries eat their drivetrain over time, mostly because most dealers don't even bother to check them. I'd look at the cush drive, as well. The little rubber bumpers dry and split.

After that, I'd check the u-joint and the output shaft for play. After that...

Look at the rear shocks -- I know a couple folks that bent the shocks and didn't know it. The rubber top shock mount inserts also go bad. Both conditions manifested themselves as weird vibrations.

Most of my off-the-top-of-my-head knowledge about 1500 machines is from Valkyries, but they're not that different.

  5. If i short the relay, the pump works. (as mentioned above) Proving its not the wiring from the relay to the pump. Relay is getting voltage...

Short it how? Getting what voltage? A relay has two inputs: the input that activates the switch, and the input that is carried through the switch.

seems pump isn't getting the signal when to turn on/off. That comes from ECU...correct?

Uh. The ECM controls the switch on the relay. That's how it 'signals' the pump.

  6. Any good tricks how to remove them ?.They have not been touched in ,eh,,,,,10+ years.I`d like to check bearings before looong drive.

Just buy new ones, and clean and repack the bearings while you're at it.
