Should not be doing any splicing.
Plug and play

I have seen some bike with after market paint jobs. Is that ok or are they painted to cover up a wreck?
Personally I would steer clear of a Bird that has been sprayed.

The Ballast does not get hot - mine are stuck on the back of my plastic instrument cluster

Thanks Jason,
That answers all the questions.
Seens the contents were all the same and all marked as McCulloch
-
Both of mine said " Tensorlite" on the Box in the same colors and font as the McCulloch on the pics as the complete kit picture shown.
The comtents are exactly the same as the picture shows also.
I think they are all just left over private label packaging with the same contents.
I will be ordering a 6000K set now and will see if they are the same also.

I agree with you Ray,
Here is the email sent to ironmike from me about this as well:
The pictured kit that StPeteXX got is a kit that Rich (StPeteXX) split with me. We went halves on the first kit about a week before the group buy. It was installed today as my High Beam. A week later the group buy happened and the price was alot cheaper than the price StPeteXx and I paid (265.00) so we decided to buy another set and split it which was installed today as my Low Beam. The kit I am selling and the kit I received from the group buy and the original kit Rich bought and split with me that is pictured in the link are all the same !! They are all packaged the same as what is pictured.
I don't know if there really is such a thing as generation 2 & 5 !
Rich (StPeteXX) and I both now have installed HID from the two kits and both of us love them.
So far noone has had a problem with any kits. knock on wood !!
I also wonder how anyone could tell a Gen.2 from a 5 by a picture :?:
-
That is correct except that if ordered through Me then you can subtract 20% off either price.
-
Installed mine !! Awesome is the only bright thing to say!!
See the For Sale section for the set I ordered in for a friend .
5000K

Awe they finally got it up on their website ! Thanks for the link.

-

Great Price great service great product easy installation.
I will probably get another set next week also with the extention till the 14th now.
Gotta get my nephew to put them on his RC51

I would verify if there is spark at all.
I had a similar problem happen to me at NEXXT.
Never done it before and discovered that I had a bad connection between my PC2 and the ECM.
Remove seat and unplug and replug up ECM connectors is what fixed mine.

Did you make out OK with the Hurricane ??
-
Notice also that he marks the package as "Warrenty Replacement"
so no customs fees
-
Finally got FedEx confirmation on my shipment.
Was in Memphis this morning !!
Maybe try the install on Saturday.

Just got off the phone with Tobin at Clear Alternatives and your smoked LED taillight with integrated signals will ship out on Monday.
Thank you
-
OK Got the scoop on the Clear Alternatives Taillights with the rear signals integrated.
Choice of either Clear or Smoked lens.
99-03 Large Taillight has not been made due to the hassle according to Clr Alt. - Due to requests they are going to start making them up and stocking them as of next week.
The 97-98 is readily available.
Retail cost from Clr Alt. :
97-98 $94.99 - 20% = $75.99
99-03 $150.00 - 20% = $120.00
Members get the usual 20% off and $7.00 shipping in the US
.

demon,
They do not have them made up for the larger taillight, 99-2003
Tobin, the owner has made up three of them for me in the past, although
they were sold to members here as one off units so those few that have them won't be unique anymore if he makes up more ! But yes I am pretty sure I can get them made up again with a three day lead time.
I am checking today for another member who asked the same question.
Will post here cost this evening after I speak with Clear Alternatives.
Another option is to check with Joe, he had bought a few sets a while back from another source with a programable light pattern. He has one on his White Bird I am pretty sure.
I will post pricing here for the Clear Alternatives unit tonight.

All Plug and Play with factory harness plugs
no cutting or splicing at all.
-
You are correct.
I have sold a few of the LED Integrated taillights to members here. Since I am also a distributor for Clear Alternatives, I have always offered .org members 20% off Clear Alternatives prices.
The lens offered on Ebay is a Clear Alternatives lens, in fact the pictures were taken off the C.A site.
If you look at the front turn signal lenses on the clear alternatives site you will see the picture I took of my Red Bird front lenses.
Any questions on Clear Alternatives stuff ? I can help you there.

I had a 10 X 10 slab the same (4-6"thick) with wire.
Big backhoe, putting in new sewer lines, crushed about 2.5 feet on a corner so I decided to cut a line across with a concrete saw making it a 10 X 7 slab.
I made the cut no problem but only had a 6lb sledge. Was a hell of a job breaking the stuff up. I had about 4 hours of swinging the sledge over 6 days to just break up the 3 X 10 end. It was a bitch.
I would recommend a good jack hammer or Bobcat as said.
If you can dig under an edge then it brakes off pretty easy but on solid ground it will laugh at you each swing of the sledge.

Suspension questions.....

I have the HyperPro front springs and use 10wt fork oil.
NO adjustment needed.
The only replacement parts needed are the springs them selves.
