  1. Joe,

I think it is actually the dealer giving you the brush off if it says backordered.

That statement is based on my CCT orders from Honda Directline, where they check beyond the

east coast warehouse if they show backordered. There has been a time or two that it showed

backordered but were found on the left coast and just took an extra day or two to get them

delivered to their dealership in Ohio and then on to me.

Scott would know for sure as the GM for a Honda dealership.

  2. Just installed my new Lithium battery. Wow does it spin the engine fast!

I weighed the Yuasa and it is 9.0 lbs

The new Scorpion Stinger Lithium is 2.1 lbs

felt like the lithium was hollow with almost a 7 lb difference.

Now to see how well it holds up long term?

  3. Thanks but I need to know which sprocket matches the Carrozzeria wheels that were supplied in our group buy a few years ago.

Carrozzeria did not make a direct replacement for the Bird so we used wheels for the _______? I think it was the ZX12 but not

positive so looking for confirmation. Hank will know for sure off the top of his head.

  4. I ordered up a new rear sprocket that went out today priority Mail and just realized a few minutes ago that I ordered

the OEM Blackbird sprocket and I have the aftermarket Carrozzeria wheels.

If my memory serves me right I should have ordered the sprocket for the ZX12 to match the Carrozzeria wheel?

Can anyone confirm the correct rear sprocket for the Carrozzeria wheels we got in the group buy a few years ago?

    Hank?

I thought I was putting all new chain and sprockets on this weekend but will have to wait another week or so.

  5. The advantage that I see promoted on them is

about 8-10 times more cycles (start-up) on a lithium verses AGM

No battery tender needed unless storing over a month with clock/alarm etc drawing voltage.

With battery disconnected it holds a full charge for over a year

way more Cold Cranking Amps at 385 CCA

green and recyclable - no acid or lead - waterproof

Kind of like LED verses Incondescant bulbs

I just ordered one and will report my findings.

Was almost the same price as the Yuasa 14S AGM battery ($8 more )

  6. 61,000 on the clock and 23,000 on the sprockets and chain, time

to replace both sprockets and drive chain.

I found a tight spot on the chain while installing a new rear Pilot Road 3 tire yesterday.

Ordered up the new OEM front sprocket since I prefer the rubber damper on it.

Ordering up the new RK threeD chain in gold (beautiful)

But looking for recommendations for the rear sprocket?

I looked at the lifetime guaranteed sidewinder and the like but not willing to spend over $100

for a single sprocket. I always replace the chain and sprockets at the same time so I don't

    care about the lifetime warranty.

Looking for a good quality hardened STEEL rear sprocket for under $100. recommendations?

  7. I have had very good experience with Honda Direct Line Parts (www.hdlparts.com) but I am bias since

I have a long relationship with the owner. I bought my 01 Bird new from them in 2001 and have probably

bought over 1000 CCT's (Lifter sets) from them!

Just a quick FYI, they will price match anyone on the net on Honda OEM parts.

They have had some issues but generally their customer service is very good.
