Will new ones be needed when installing new cans?

IMO..having the fan come on sooner wouldn't help much if any. I didn't see in the post what temp the bikes is hitting in traffic, mine has hit 250f but didn't puke over. Where I live there is about a two mile run where the
speed limit is 40mph with no stops or lights. Right now when the outside temp is around 80 my XX will hit 235-240 with in the two mile stretch. I can't see me and the XX spending much time at all in heavy city traffic once the real heat sets in. Other than doing what was already posted
"raise the RPM's up to about 2000 or so" I don't think much can be done about your problem...
good luck

since my has this rattle too, that may be where this missing bushing goes

Here you go KawRider. I'm sure Ronnie will sell you his........
BTW Ronnie, I could see you saying that the stock looks better, fits better or gives you less noise/turbulence....there are many opinions,
but to say that the stock gives you better wind protection is just silly.... .....
Cheers,
the key to my statement was..it gives me better wind protection
and like you said there are many opinions

Both bikes to Arkansas on redcap Mobil....
the red cap is the correct stuff for Mobil?
-
I put a GiVi on my XX, anly went for a short 20 mile ride. It will come off and stock back on. IMO the stock is better all around including wind protection.

been using Rotella synthetic in different bikes for lots of miles no problems at..plus its only like 13.00 or less a gallon at Wally World

In traffic jam, in 10 minutes it will shoot up to 239 (115 C). When I start moving again the temp will go down to 212(100C) and stays there. It will shoot up again the minute I stop or slow down.
Mine shoots up much faster than that in traffic. But runs normal at highway speeds. I can pull in the yard temps shows 190f, open the gate get back on bike and it has reached 220 or so. I don't worry about it anymore unless it pukes over. No way would I ride in city traffic in the heat of summer if at all possible to avoid. Dunno for sure about water wetter but IMO prolly a total waste of money.
Good Luck

Since they don't make the race cans for the 2002 was wondering if anyone has or heard these before? Being non race other than being lighter
than the stock are they much if any louder?
thanks

I do miss the V65 Magna......still say the XX would have to come from behind to catch the V65 up to around 80-90mph, then of course the XX would pull away. As far as the trouble he's having, possible one of the coils is acting up. or spark boxes?
Good Luck
Here is a great place for most answers for V65 troubles
