  1. please....

    ...

tell us all you are smarter than that.

    ..

IF not well, stick around a while, do lots of searches and read, read, read.

Yeah if you'll buy that I'll sell you an exhaust that will add 30hp :icon_whistle:

WHat ever happen to that guy selling the exhaust that was thought to add 30hp

  2. I saw 240f-250F many many times on my 02 XX and it never lost coolant. I got to the point where I didn't even look at it anymore

My 02 never gets that hot but it sees 220 all the time. My fan kicks on at 217 as well. I never had a problem overheating and it's 90+ with mucho humidity in the summer.

I would be more worried about the charging system than overheating..the fan running all the time might add some stress on the charging system.

  3. I'm sure the Busa is not nearly as smooth as my Bird. My '05 Busa was a buzzzz saw. I was so happy to dump that vibrator. Maybe the '08 is better in that dept but I doubt it's near Bird quality. As far as the extra power.....it's almost irrelevant. The Bird is so excessively powered for everyday use, what the hell is an extra 50hp going to do for me? Wear out my tires a little quicker? If I was that into extra power and handling, I'd be going to the track and getting a new 1000RR.

    I had a 2005 Busa and I didn't notice much if any buzz..Maybe yours had some issues/problems?

  4. It is not a bike for stop and go traffic.

Sorry, but i dont buy that. if it was an air cooled engine, than i would agree, like my old virago, where the back cylinder head just stops working proper after some time by the heath...

I understand the aero dynamic design keeps heat inside, but think about it, you design such a beautiful bike than you would consider poor buggers like myself stuck in traffic on motorway. So you put an oil and a water radiator.

My 2002 ran 240F + many many times in summer traffic. I got where I didn't pay any attention to it.

240 F is like 115C so it not unusual then...

I did the fin blow thing... not quite sure it worked, got some dirt out though...

while on the process i bleeded the whole system, mixed 60/40 coolant with fresh water.

Today, I got a 100km ride and 100 come back, mostly in sunday traffic...

it will be a good test. and if that wont work, on Monday i'll check the pump...

Getting really fast in taking out and putting in fairings :P

    240f+

  5. In FLA I've had many problems with high temps on my BB.....But now I've solved my problem. I shifted the radiator 1.5 in forward to get some clearance from the header pipe.(had to do a little welding) Moved the OEM fan to the left side of the radiator. Installed a secondary fan(smaller fan) on the right ride using the bracket from another OEM fan.Made a littte mod the fairing behind the wheel. Installed switch and wire it directly to key switch.....presto. Tonite it's 82 degrees with no breeze and I let the temp climb to 220 and it pulled in down to 208 in 3 min. Have to give an update when I give her a field test...I'll update some pics when I get my camera from the wifey.

Only high temps and not getting "Hot" ? If that was the problem why go through all the work
