  1. So my stepson Chris has decided he wants to upgrade to a Tiger 800 and is selling his 390 Duke.

Bone stock 2016 with 2800 miles.  Really good beginners bike.  He's asking 4500.

We're outside of Nashville TN and would be willing to meed in the middle.

You can reach him through me here or at 615-480-8515.

  2. Putting this up in a few places, but I would personally love it if this would go to someone here...

2003 VFR800 Interceptor non ABS. 30k miles. Factory hard bags and top box. New PR3 rear tire. Front is starting to cup and will need replacement relatively soon.

    Mods list...

    Sargent seat.
    Puig windscreen
    Sato adjustable rearsets.
    Throttlemeister
    CNR shorty levers
Braided steel brake and clutch lines.
    EBC HH Brake pads
    Galfer wave rotors.
Power Commander 5 with Autotune module.
Stock forks rebuilt with racetech gold compression and rebound valves.
    Racetech .95 kg fork springs

    Ohlins 46HRCLS shock.

Is it perfect? No. It's been down and repaired. The paint is scratched here and there, and as usual with my bikes, it's not as anally clean as some keep theirs. However it is mechanically as perfect as I can get it.

Asking $4500 here. More on other sites.

Pics for those who don't know the bike...

  3. And the timing really sucks. I'll be looking to buy a lightweight supersport in a few months, but I can't do it just yet. :icon_wall:

Looking to add another bike to your stable, Dutch?

Or, will you be selling the VFR?

The VFR isn't going anywhere. It's the perfect balance of comfort and performance for the type of riding that we do. Especially with all of the suspension upgrades. No, I'm looking for something lightweight that can to do track and street duty.

  4. My 03 was shimmed 6mm and otherwise stock. The handling was noticeably better. Turn in felt closer to my old R1 than my original 97 XX. It did lean a little heavily on the sidestand but never enough to worry me. When it was up on the centerstand all I did was lift it onto a 1/8" piece of plywood so the rear tire would clear enough to rotate.

  5. The oddest thing happened. I turned around after five minutes or so. I came out of 1st respectfully. I applied moderate throttle (read got on it going into second) and then suddenly the road in front of me was gone! I was straight up 12 o'clock. I forgot for a minute the size, weight of the beast and had to get her down.

    I warned you, I warned you, I warned you. Didn't I warn you? :icon_whistle::icon_twisted:

So were you giggling like a little kid when you cleaned out your pants?
